I enjoy anything in the Sherlock Holmes milieu, Using Mrs. Hudson as the lead was an unusual and bold choice. This is a light hearted historical mystery and should appeal to fans over several mystery sub genres. I look forward to meeting Mrs. Hudson again in another adventure,

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the story and the pace and the style of writing. I got totally caught up in the time period. I like Mrs Hudson as a character and hope that there are more books about her.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.

The Mind Behind the Myth
What a fun mystery set in the life of Sherlock Holmes. It is a good mystery with plenty of twists. The author does a good job of making Mrs. Hudson the real brain. Sherlock comes off as a bit arrogant man with the belief that men are naturally superior to women and he is superior to most men. As the story winds on, the balance shifts. In the end, all is revealed and reconciled. I will enjoy reading more Hudson/Holmes mysteries. I received this ARC book for free from Net Galley and this is my honest review.

I give every book a few tries before I mark it as a DNF. It's either because I didn't like the story or found it boring. I do not believe in forcing myself to finish book. In this case I didn't like the background story that was forming.
