I was immediately pulled into this story which brilliantly combined the emotional romance with a suspenseful mystery. The multiple POVs and timelines allows insight but doesn’t give the full picture until it naturally unfolds, leaving the final twist until the end. An emotional read that encompassed feelings of grief and heartbreak but also the warmth of first love and loyalty. The romance aspects were touching and genuine and the mystery was very intriguing. Having multiple POVs provided great depth to the characters of Maddie, Adam and Garrett, and their growth was evident over the span of years. Because of the young love aspect, this book would also be appealing to a YA audience as well.
The book does leave some unanswered questions of the side plot which has me anxiously looking forward to the next book!
Madeleine and Adam were high school sweethearts, and along with Adam’s best friend Jason they were a tight knit group until one tragic night when an accident took Adam from them. Ten years later, Maddie and Jason are engaged, trying to move on. Until Maddie sees a video of Adam – impossible but she has to know and bring closure to her devastating loss. And then she meets Garrett and is her instant connection to him the result of his rescue of her or something else?
I also love me a NJ shore setting!!!
Narrated by Greg Lockette and Lauryn Allman who were fantastic in bringing these characters to life.

I picked this up as I read 'The Second Chance Year' by the same author which I adored and gave 4.25 stars. I do own another by her too but as this one was read now and sounded great I immediately requested it.

This one really had such a unique plot, one that I've not read before at least, and it sucked me in.

It actually gave me slight Ashley Poston vibes but without the magical element.

I liked the mystery of us as readers not knowing straight away what was happening with the guy who looked like Adam and finding out through his POV was a good way to do it.

Overall I have given this a 3.75 ⭐️'s as it wasn't as good as the second chance year by the same author but I did still really enjoy myself and the audio narrators were fabulous too.

Thank you to @netgalley and the publisher @bookouture for giving me a free copy of this one.

There was a few things that ended up unfolding not in the way I had hoped which I think would have made the story more compelling including the way Madeline confronted Adam as it was a little lack lustre. I would have liked them to go on a date or him walk her home again one day and she talk to him about Adam knowing he was him to watch him lie to her face and have some more angst there with that. Also the ending felt a little rushed in my opinion, it all kind of wrapped up far too easily.

All the Ways You Saved Me by Melissa Weisner was an enjoyable listen from start to finish. While the plot was somewhat predictable, that didn’t take away from the experience. Sometimes knowing where a story is headed just makes the journey more comforting. I found myself invested in the characters and appreciated the way the story unfolded. The narrators did a fantastic job bringing the emotions and personalities to life, making the audiobook feel even more engaging. Overall, a solid and read that I would recommend!

TITLE: All the Ways you Save Me
AUTHOR: Melissa Wiesner
RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.25
SPICE: 🌶️

RELEASE DATE: 8-19-2025
NARRATOR: Greg Lockett & Lauryn Allman

This book was not what I expected & I mean that in the best way. I expected a heart breaking romance - and while it is that, it also has romantic suspense and thriller vibes.

Madeline, Adam & Jason are besties in high school after Madeline’s family is quickly uprooted and moved to Maple Ridge. Madeline loved her home town of Sandy Harbor. In fact, she loved it so much that when her and Adam start dating, they discuss moving to a small beach town together when they are grown.

Unfortunately, Adam never sees that day as his life is loss in a horrific car accident. Madeline tries to move on with her life and eventually settles for Jason, their bestie, who was there during her time of grief. Jason & Madeline are planning their wedding and their future when Madeline sees a social media post of a man, who looks oddly like Adam - in her old town of Sandy Harbor.

Super excited to continue this series - there’s a mysterious sub plot that continues and I want to know more about Madeline’s sister and her secret on the sudden move to Maple Ridge.

I enjoyed both narrators - the duet style is always wonderful and this was a very emotional storytelling.

Tropes:
💔 second chance
🌊 small town
💔 romantic suspense
🌊 secret identity

Wow.

This audiobook was amazing! I could not wait to listen! At first, I needed to know what happened to Adam. Is this stranger on the beach truly Adam or a case of mistaken identity? I’m glad we got the answer fairly quickly through the book. Then, I needed to see Maddie get her closure and potentially her happy ending.

I loved how though this was a romance, there was an element of mystery as well! Maddie and Adam’s and then Maddie and Garrett’s love story was beautiful. I was expecting this story to break my heart, but it took a pleasantly surprising turn.

This was told from multiple perspectives, past Adam, past Maddie, present Maddie and present Garrett. The perfect way for the story to unravel! The narrator’s were great, I listened at 1.75x.

This book needs to be made into a movie IMMEDIATELY!

Oh my goodness an absolute top read for the year. I truly loved this and only disappoint is that I have to wait for the next book. The mystery and the love story are perfect. I couldn't read this fast enough and it definitely left me wanting more.

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read this arc

First time reader of Melissa Wiesner but I am all in for the next book in early 2026. This is more of a romantic suspense book that is slowing unraveling and keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. Maddie changed schools senior year and ran into the love of her life Adam on the first day of school. Adam introduced her to his best friend Jason the 3 are inseparable. Then tragedy hits and grief envelopes two from the group. The story is given at a good pace just enough to keep you up at night. The characters are well done though just never liked Jason. This story took a turn I was not expecting, but I’m glad it did. I love to be thrilled and thrown off guard by twists and turns that leave me wanting more. My suspicions were right. All of them were, and I’ve never been so happy to be right. Thanks to Netgalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity.

I wasn’t quite sure where this book was going, but holy cow! The twist and suspense in this one was perfect! This had me so frustrated and heartbroken for Madeline & Adam, but absolutely loved their characters. I definitely wanted some answers to a few things, but I have a feeling they are coming in book 2! The last 15% of this book had my head spinning in the best way! Highly recommend!

5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

First of all holy shit! I thought Love and Other Lost things couldn’t top any of Melissa’s books but I was wrong! So wrong!! This one did it. It had me hooked from the first page. I had to know if Garrett was Adam! I loved reading “Adam” and Madeline’s love story and their second chance romance!

I had the privilege of also getting the audio as an ARC and again 5 solid stars. I loved hearing this story come to life. Still my favorite book by Melissa Wiesner!

WOWZA!!! All the Ways You Save Me had me hook, line, and sinker from the very first page!!!!!! I loved this book! This is the 3rd book that I have read by Melissa Wiesner and they have all been 5 star reads! I love her wonderful writing, her well thought out plots, her use of settings, her vivid descriptions and for her fully fleshed out characters that I grow to care about!

Madeline met Adam after she and her mother moved to a new town. They quickly became high school sweethearts who spent all of their time together along with Jason, Adam's best friend. Their futures were bright, they were happy, healthy and young! They had their whole lives ahead of them until one horrific night when Adam was lost in an accident.

It's been ten years and now Madeline and Jason are busy planning their wedding. They bonded over their shared loss of Adam. Then Madeline is in an accident and the man who saves her looks-exactly-like-Adam!!!!!! But the man's name is Garrett! But Madeline can't get past how he looks exactly like Adam! Madeline can't let this go.....

I was literally glued to the pages. I had both the book and audiobook and loved both. The narrators of the audiobook did a fabulous job of bringing the characters and this book to life! I loved the use of memory in this book. I also enjoyed the characters, their likeability, and I especially enjoyed Madeline's search for the truth!

The setting is fantastic and I felt as if I was right there along with the characters due to Melissa Wiesner's beautiful and vivid descriptions. I also enjoyed how the book is told in two timelines - when they met in high school and the present day. With romance books it is all about the journey and this was one incredible journey. This book managed to shock me a few times and I enjoyed the twists and turns that this book took. I did see a few of the reveals coming but that did not hinder my enjoyment of this book at all. This is the first book in a new series and it is off to a fantastic start!

Gripping, evoking emotion, beautifully written, and hard to put down! I can't wait to read the next b book in the series!!!!

Highly Recommend!
