Scotland and Ireland are two of my favorite places that I have visited. I have been to a few castles in both countries so I was super excited to see this on NetGalley. The pictures were gorgeous and I like the blurbs about each castle. I was a bit disappointed Alnwick Castle wasn’t included. It was also weird that French castles were included when France isn’t mentioned in the title. Overall, I enjoyed this!

Beautiful pictures of castles in Ireland, Wales, and Scotland. Along with information on them, their location and some history. I enjoyed looking at some I had not heard of.

I would've maybe liked a few more interior shots of the castles and more in depth information about each of the castles but overall I enjoyed looking through this book.

Even though the title says this book is castles based in Scotland, Ireland & Wales there are a few English castles & based in Brittany included.

The history of Scotland, Wales, and Ireland through the ruins of its fortifications or what remains of its castles, even the best preserved ones. The photos are very beautiful and the stories flow smoothly even for those who come from other countries. I recently visited Scotland, which is perhaps why I enjoyed the photos and stories so much, even though I haven't seen all the castles mentioned in the book.

La storia della Scozia, del Wales e dell'Irlanda attraverso le rovine delle sue fortificazioni o di quello che resta dei suoi castelli, anche quelli meglio preservati. Le foto sono molto belle ed i racconti scorrono anche per chi viene da altri paesi. Sono stata da poco in Scozia e forse per questo le foto e le storie mi sono piaciute parecchio, anche se io non ho visto tutti i castelli di cui parla il libro.
