This was a fun, cozy read wrapped up in a smutty little omegaverse blanket. I appreciated the author’s explanation of omegaverse at the beginning of the book. Having tried to explain it myself a few times, I found the author’s explanation to be straightforward and easy to understand.

Before diving into A Pack for Winter, I did read A Pack for Autumn so I enjoyed the return to this sleepy little seaside town with all of its quirky citizens and meddling cat. However, this is a standalone and A Pack of Autumn does not need to be read first.

The FMC, Ivy, is a 30 something teacher with an Omega designation who does so much for everyone else, that she forgets to take care of herself. Most women can probably relate. Our MMCs, Rome, also a teacher, James, Rome’s bonded partner and veterinarian, and Logan, the town handyman and long-time acquaintance of Ivy, are all so sweet and so swoon-worthy. Rome and Logan being alphas are biologically driven to care for Ivy in her times of need, and Beta James is the perfect counterbalance who makes sure to check in with everyone to keep the communication and comfort going. It’s MMFM so we get some spice between Rome and James too.

Their pack relationship starts with a blizzard, progresses through a series of unfortunate dates, and ends with much needed character growth achieved through lots of love and understanding.

Overall, it’s the perfect read for a winter night when you want some satisfyingly sweet, but filthy, spice and a heartwarming love story. It’s a solid omegaverse read.

Thanks to Eliana Lee, Putnam, and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC, which allowed me to read the book and voluntarily provide an unbiased review.

A Pack for Winter is a perfect cozy MMFM omegaverse book with the fun tropes like snowed in, workplace romance, cozy small town, knotting and scent matching, I fell in love with each of the characters. I especially loved that the characters were 30+ years old, they had different backgrounds, all healing and supporting each other through their links together.

I love this series so much. They couldn’t be cuter. I love how down bad all the guys were immediately.

Cozy series set in a small town where everyone knows your business and the mayor is a cat. Because you know why not.

. From the very first pages, I knew this book was going to be a ride. Eliana Lee starts with clear, detailed explanations of the omegaverse world—things I already knew, but I still appreciated the refresher. And then two pages in, I was already laughing. “Sexless caterpillar” shouldn’t have been as funny as it was, but I absolutely lost it.
The setting in a small town instantly gave the story cozy vibes, but what really drew me in were the characters. Felix? An absolute icon. I will take no criticisms. He stole every scene, and the fact that we even get a whole POV chapter from him made my life complete.
Ivy’s surprise heat was written so well—equal parts emotional and scorching. This is where the omegaverse really shines for me: the blend of filthy spice and genuine tenderness. The alphas’ instinct to take care of her, the possessiveness, the dynamic—it all clicked. And wow, Eliana Lee does not hold back on the spice. 🔥
Now, the alphas themselves:

Rome is swoon-worthy beyond words. The way he openly claimed Ivy—saying he’d do it in front of her friends—who is this man, and can I have one?
James surprised me. I wasn’t expecting him to be so dirty, but I wasn’t mad about it either. (Also, can he please send over those TikTok recs about gruff men who are good with their hands? Yes, thank you.)
Logan stole my heart. His lack of confidence, his quiet moments, the way he second-guesses himself… it melted me completely. I’ve always had a soft spot for the gruff, shy types, and Logan delivered on every level. The anticipation of Ivy’s date with him had me grinning, and while Ivy claims not to play favorites, Logan is absolutely mine.
The multi-POV structure worked so well here. Getting into each character’s head deepened the story and brought so many different layers of humor, tenderness, and heat. Even the moments of secondhand embarrassment (looking at you, poetry scene) added to the
charm.
And then there’s Ivy. My heart broke for her insecurities and feelings of unworthiness. But her journey—surrounded by these alphas who love and care for her—was emotional, hot, and heartwarming all at once.
Of course, not every character got my love—Sean was a total butt nugget—but every pack needs its tensions.
Overall, A Pack for Winter perfectly blended laugh-out-loud humor, swoony romance, filthy spice, and genuine emotional depth. Eliana Lee delivered exactly what I love about the omegaverse: messy, possessive, tender alphas; a heroine finding her place; and dynamics that make your heart ache in the best way.

This book easily lands among my favorite omegaverse reads—and Felix will forever be everything.

Review goes live October 2.

This is a fun cozy omegaverse novel. I love Ivy as an FMC and getting to see her grow in her confidence and her ability to say no was very heart warming. I'm also obsessed with Felix the cat and could probably just read a whole novella of him. Rome and James are so cute together and I loved how easily they incorporated Logan into their pack.

If you love omegaverse novels, this is definitely one to pick up!

I was not a huge fan of this book. The story was hard to get into and I did not really connect with the main characters.

You know those books that feel like a warm blanket on a freezing day? A Pack for Winter was exactly that for me, cozy, emotional, and just spicy enough to keep things interesting.

The story follows Ivy Winter, a teacher in her early 30s who’s basically been running on empty. She’s the kind of person who gives everything to everyone: her students, her friends, her job. But rarely gets that same care in return. Right away, I connected with her. She’s relatable in that “oh, I see a bit of myself in her exhaustion” way.

Then comes the snowstorm. A blizzard hits, and Ivy finds herself stuck at school with three men who are about to turn her whole world upside down: Rome, the new music teacher who’s charming and a little too confident; James, Rome’s beta mate who’s all calm steadiness; and Logan, a grumpy, closed-off electrician who just so happens to be the literal definition of “tough exterior, soft center.”

The forced proximity is delicious!!! Lots of simmering tension, awkward moments, and those little sparks that make you grin. When Ivy’s heat hits unexpectedly, their dynamics shift fast, and suddenly there’s more than just survival keeping them huddled together.

What I loved most, though, was Ivy’s personal journey. She starts off so guarded, used to handling everything on her own, and it was beautiful watching her slowly realize that she deserves care and love, not just to give it. The pack doesn’t just sweep in to “save” her; they show up consistently, giving her space to heal and grow on her own terms. Logan’s growth, in particular, hit me hard. He’s gruff and haunted by loss, and seeing him open up to Ivy felt like a quiet, tender victory.

The world-building leans more cozy than dark. It’s classic omegaverse with heats and scent dynamics, but it’s gentle, more focused on intimacy and emotional connection than heavy politics or violence. The winter setting adds such a comforting vibe, snowed-in cabins, shared blankets, and a literal storm that mirrors Ivy’s internal chaos.

If I had one small complaint, it’s that sometimes Ivy’s resistance dragged a little too long. There were moments where I wanted to gently shake her and say, “Girl, let them love you!” But honestly, that made her eventual acceptance all the more rewarding.

This isn’t a book about high stakes or dramatic battles. It’s about finding your people, your pack, and realizing that being cared for doesn’t make you weak. It’s heartfelt, cozy, and yes, very spicy. Perfect for a winter night when you want something that makes you both swoon and sigh happily.

I really enjoyed getting to know Ivy and her pack. Each character had their own personality — from Logan’s grumpy streak to the softer, more supportive members — which made them both fun and relatable. What I loved most was seeing how the group grew together, respecting Ivy’s space but also showing up when she truly needed them.

The plot kept me engaged the whole way through. The breakthrough heat was a clever way to bring everyone together, and I thought the contrast between the awkward one-on-one dates and the heartwarming group date was such a sweet touch. The conflict felt more about learning to navigate emotions and trust than about big external drama, and it all came together in a cohesive, satisfying way.

The writing style was easy to fall into and worked well for this type of story. The pacing felt just right — not rushed, but never dragging — and gave plenty of room for the relationships to develop. I also appreciated the recurring theme of care and partnership, which made the romance feel just as much about love as it was about creating a true sense of family.

This was my first Eliana Lee book, and I am a fan!
Ivy is content in her life as a dedicated fifth-grade teacher who enjoys the simple pleasures of baking shows and the company of her friends. However, her world is turned upside down when a snowstorm forces her to confront new feelings and unexpected opportunities. The very unexpected intimacy with James, Logan, and Rome sparks a mini heat in Ivy, leading her to question her self-imposed limitations and her deep-seated fears about love and connection. It is all of their journeys through their past baggage, but Ivy's journey is about more than just romance; it’s about embracing her true self and overcoming internalized fears. The narrative is infused with humor and warmth, making it a delightful read that balances high levels of spice with genuine emotion.

This was a great cozy omegaverse read. Perfect found family and small town romance. The writing was lovely without being too lyrical. An overall great wintery read for fans of omegaverse and why choose stories.

Cozy sweet Omegaverse with Christmas vibes! ❄️☕

Big thank you to Netgalley for the ARC!

I just love this series SO MUCH! This book was quintessential small-town romance......
just Omegaverse 🤣

❄️ Omegaverse
❄️Small town
❄️MMFM
❄️Found family
❄️Snowed In
❄️Meddling town cat

Ivy is a beloved teacher in Starlight Grove (uh, hello Stars Hollow vibes!) but has a horrible habit of never saying no…to anyone. She loves her students and her town but is pulled so thin her selfcare starts to take a back seat. With a not so gentle nudge from the towns honorary cat Mayor, Felix, Ivy begins to find her place in town and the family she had been looking for.

After a blizzard shuts down the city, Ivy realizes she must save her classroom fish from freezing temperatures. Running through the snow, she arrives at school to find not only a very alive fish but 3 men (alphas Logan and Rome and beta James) who are VERY concerned for her and MUST warm her up. After a very steamy night, they decide to form a pack to court Ivy.

This is such a sweet found family story with only a few little drama bumps along the way. These guys just want to love and care for Ivy, which she finds hard to accept.
One thing I didn’t like was the excessive number of Epilogues. I wish those tiny little bits had been turned into actual chapters with more substance because BIG things happen and I think they deserved more than a tiny epilogue.

I love that this could be a standalone story but has returning characters from the previous book as well. I can't wait for book three to read Lucy’s story!

OMG. I’m soooo glad this book is being traditionally published. It’s such a fun read.
MMFM Non Shifter Omegaverse with MM

Favorite Quotes 🫶
“Look at what you’ve reduce this alpha.”
“Such a good omega for me.”
“Present for your alpha”
“Fish James was by far the most beautiful, elegant creature in the entire tank.”
You say the word and I get both these alphas out of here.”

Ivy isn’t the only teacher at Starlight Grove elementary school that applied for the prestigious grant – the music teacher Rome also applied, and there can only be one teacher that receives the funding. Rome moved to Starlight Grove from New York with James in the hopes of building a pack in the small town – and he’s convinced Ivy is meant to be his omega. After being told by her own family and previous relationships that she would be better alone, Ivy doesn’t see herself in a pack – thankfully, she just needs some convincing alphas and a beta to change her mind 😉

Pros:
Holiday themes – but not the focal point (like just enough to get you into the holiday mood but not overwhelming)
Very niche trope I love: MM relationship established before they meet the woman they fall for *seriously so niche but it’s so perfect*
Fish James 🐠

Con:
It’s not long enough lol. Eliana if you read this: please write a second book these characters. And include Fish James. Thank you <3

This was a strong sequel in the Cozyverse series, it had that overall element that I was looking for and was hooked from the first page. The characters had that feel that I wanted and was engaged with what was happening with them. Eliana Lee has a strong writing style and had that element that I wanted. I really enjoyed how good the fantasy romance concept was and how it was used in the storyline. I hope there is more in this series and from Eliana Lee.

At Christmas in a small town much like Stars Hollow, an “overworked and overlooked” elementary school teacher with more heart than spine stumbles into a romance with three BIG men who only want to make her happy.

It’s fluff and smut and fluff and smut, written well enough that the prose doesn’t get in the way of all the froth. There’s the tiniest bit of hurt and big heaped cups of comfort. There’s boyfriends who are also boyfriends. There’s the alternate human biology you’d expect from an Omegaverse novel, but so cozy that even the MMFM scenes feel really vanilla, with none of the expected sexual violence or dubious consent.

In short, it’s a quick, escapist read, which was the perfect palate cleanser after reading several really heavy novels and nonfiction books. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it to fans of Omegaverse, but I wouldn’t steer them away from it either. I’ll pick up others in the series.

I received a free eARC via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

This just hits everything you need a cozyverse to hit.

Ivy is a 31yo schoolteacher and has always been committed to her job, to the detriment of her previous relationships. That commitment, this time to save the class fishies, combined with a series of mishaps led her snowed in & forced proximity to Rome, the new music teacher, his partner who is vet James, and their neighbor, town electrician (and bit of a loner 😭), Logan. With all the fun and cozy angst over winter they build their own pack, or do they? 😉

Highlights I loved about this: the perfect balance of a competent FMC/omega who also has insecurities and makes mistakes, a beta with their own personality and strength (love you sm James 🙏), a mulled wine alpha scent that would be my kryptonite, and pacing I loved because I felt like each scene got to breathe and this book lasted that much longer for me (give me all the bonus scenes I beg, I miss them).

Quote: “I think if it was perfect, it wouldn’t feel real,” I whispered. “And I really want it to be real.”

Thank you to Putnam for the eARC!

I love this series! I read both A Pack for Autumn and A Pack for Winter when they were released on KU. I love how cozy, spicy, and heart-warming these books are. In A Pack for Winter, Eliana Lee really knows how to make you fall in love with a pack. Each character had a storyline that was compelling and beautifully written. I loved how her pack came together and the love that I could feel between them. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

I received this book from netgalley for free for an honest and unbiased review. Thank you for the opportunity.

I love all the books in the series however this one is definitely my favorite. I love that it is a true Poly relationship with the men loving each other. And the support they give is top notch.

Absolutely LOVED this! Truly cozy, Gilmore Girls vibes with ALL the spice. This was only my second omegaverse (first being A Pack for Autumn) and it was such a great intro into the genre. I loved every character but I think James was my favorite guy! Such a rock for their pack and I loved seeing him with Ivy.

2026 feels too long to wait for the next installments but I'll be looking forward to Spring and Summer when we get them!

Thank you so so much to Netgalley for this Arc!!!

🐺Title: A Pack for Winter
🐈Vibe Check: Cozy, Spicy, Why Choose
❄️Genre: Romance
⭐ Rating: 5/5

🐺My Thoughts:
My first ever omegaverse read

I received this Arc as netgalley not realizing it was a why choose. Something I’ve never read before, combined with omegaverse. Also something new for me.
But this was so so so cute. It was such a cozy read. I’d never read anything that blended cozy with INSANE spice. Like super spicy (to me who doesn’t read spice typically.) I absolutely loved it. All three of the MMC were so sweet, Ivy the FMC was also incredibly sweet. The setting was lovely. The mayor is a cat. I loved it all.

I will be reading more omegaverse why choose because of this.

🐈Standout Elements:

The cat is the mayor.

“Felix is the mayor, Rome.”

A book to read if you’re ready for winter, and wish you had a nest with three men in it

❄️Final Thoughts:
Eliana Lee, I am a big fan
