Tons of great prompts in here! I know this is meant for kids, but as I was browsing through, even I was inspired to get some writing done. This is a must have for young students!

There are 150 prompts sorted into 5 categories: fiction, mystery, science fiction, fantasy & adventure, and memoir & autobiography. The beginning of each section explains a little about the genre and offers a few writing tips. This is a great resource for ideas to start writing stories. Some of the prompts are "continue the story" which is great as the future writer can just continue without setting up an introduction. The only section I was a little let down by was fantasy. Every prompt takes place in the real world and the user suddenly discovers something magical. Some prompts taking place in a different world would have fit the genre nicely.

I highly recommend this book. Yes, it is great for school aged children. But I would also use these prompts for younger children to use their imagination. In car rides, parents or grandparents could use a prompt and the 4–6 year-old child could orally tell stories. Additionally, I would use this book as a brainstorming activity for college students. I taught Intro to Public Speaking and the young adults often had trouble starting their narrative speeches. This book would help.

A great resource. I loved the format and prompts. This will be an easy to use book to help all writers. Even struggling writers can be successful with this.

This book is short, simple and sweet! The tips are very helpful and the prompts are super fun and engaging. Highly recommend this fun resource to teachers and families.

The authors focuses on different genres (fiction, mystery, fantasy and more) and provides over a hundred prompts encouraging children to write their stories. As an English teacher I have found this book to be very interesting and believe it will be useful not only for young writers but to anyone who wants to venture into creative writing.

Honestly, helpful to all demographics. It's simple and straightforward, but still fun and engaging. A quick way to navigate creative block.

I think this will be a massive help to all sorts of demographics - from schools, to weekend/wraparound care with children

I would definitely buy this for younger members of my family to encourage creativity, and I might be tempted to use it myself as a stress relief on an evening

This was quite a helpful little book, I teach 3rd grade at SERRF and I work at a middle school so this will help out with all my English and journaling that we have to do.
I will be recommending this to other SERRF teachers too cause I think this will really help with the kids creativity given all the options for that to write.

I will be getting once this asap.

I highly suggest other educators do the same.
