A really lovely story about two people who in very different ways and for very different reasons find themselves feeling unable to be themselves. Jodie and Pav are great characters and Low bridge is a terrific small village setting. This is best read in order but this third installment does read fine alone.

another wonderful book with an author who knows how to hug me via her books. the setting was just stunning. i always think when people are setting their books in Scotland a whole different feeling comes through it. when done well that is as you have to be able to capture the scenery of the place. and boy does Amelia shine with that one. from the Highland scenes to that actual cooking location itself it was just like i could feel, smell and almost taste it all. i mean who doesn't love a cooking school and the mention of lots of food scenes? thats a romance in itself!
the cast of characters in this book feel like you could just make a home with, quirky, fun, often kind and such a lovely community. at first i thought we are in for a disaster here. she could just play Gemma forever for goodness sake. so then when she started getting fully involved, maybe even settle i was genuine gets anxious about how this would, might go wrong. like no!
the romance was sweet. and felt true with all those this is him vibes.
this book had all the cosy, warming, give me a hug in a book feels to it. from the moments i read the first page i was smiling.the wit and humour elements to it were spot on and really lit up the book.
i want to go and be involved in this cookery school. do they need a pot washer?
Amelia has done it again with her heartwarming story telling. i feel truly lucky to get to read her books and feel just so much better from doing so.

What a wonderful, sweet novel! What I really loved was that I was able to get into the book right away. The book started off quickly, just like I like. The scenes were so beautifully written and I could imagine being there. I really liked all of the characters except maybe Gemma. She just seemed a bit pretentious, which is fine! Gemma was a side character although her name was used a lot. I personally wouldn’t have gone looking for her though. The romance was sweet and overall the plot was woven together quite well. I love a good Christmas book and this definitely delivered. Now I need to go back and the author’s other book! I’ll be looking for more books as well!
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC.
