Alexandria House shows us the versatility of her pen with Lilith and I ate it up. Winston and Wesleigh are an amazing duo so I already knew going into this audiobook that the narration would be top tier. Ray is unhinged but so hilarious. I loved the fast paced mystery, the secrets, and the spice. Bravo, Ms. House 👏🏾

"I am insane. If I lose you, l'ma become diabolically mentally ill. Like, cartoonishly unhinged." *adds cartoonishly unhinged to the book bae requirement list*

A House?!?! Ma'am you never cease to amaze me!! Why did you dip your whole pinky toe in this book like this?!? When I say I want an unhinged man, THIS is what I'm referring to!!
THIS!!!!

I absolutely LOVED this book!! LOVED!!! A House does not
miss EVER!!

After a 12 year relationship on the fast track to nowhere, Lilith finally decides that time with Marlon has run its course. She has given this man her BEST years and now at the age of 42 fears that her chances of becoming a wife and mother have passed her by. What she won't let pass however, is another day with Marlon and his empty promises and puppet strings.

So she packs her bags and high tails it out of the place that she once called home.As she settles into her new life and making a not so new space her own, she crosses paths with Horacio "Ray" Nation and the man is not one to be played with!! Listen y'all, Ray was a MAN'S MAN!! He was everything you could imagine and a sprinkle of things that you couldn't begin to imagine.

He was a protector, a provider, a lover, a fighter, puts it DOWN in the bedroom and anywhere else if you let him. He will unalive you without blinking but just know it's ALWAYS justified! It only took him one glance to know that Lil was different and to claim her as his own. Sis really didn't have a choice! Like zero! Ray upgraded her lilifeeeeee from
"sandpaper to silk" in the words of Justice!

The plot twists were so unexpected because just when I thought I had things figured out, House said aht aht try again! It was pretty much down to the last page before all was revealed and even then I was like record scratch!! Wesleigh and Winston delivered like only they can’t and it was a joy experiencing these characters in audio form. Thank you Netflix Galley for the advanced copy!

This is my first book by the very prolific Alexandra House, and I had some high hopes. Not only had I read good reviews about the author's books, I also have a particular interest in the pre-biblical story of Lilith. I appreciated that the protagonist (Lilith) is a strong and independent woman, but I hated that she allowed herself to be caught up in a relationship where the power was so unbalanced. I didn't want to see her be the woman who falls in love with a man who tells her she's his prisoner and makes decisions for her. Because of this, the sex and twisty=turning suspense wasn't even appealing. The narrators (Winston James and Wesleigh Siobhan) do a great job with the material and I believe Alexandria House is a strong writer. This novel just didn't do it for me.
I appreciate Tantor Media and Alexandria House for gifting me with this ARC of the audiobook of this novel in exchange for my honest opinions. All opinions expressed here are my own.

Absolutely loved Lilith, and the narrators were on point two of the best in my opinion. I love an unhinged man and boy was Ray unhinged. Loved the banter between Ray and Lilith. Memphis book is up next and I can’t wait.

This is a new author for me, so I was so excited to listen to this story. It did not disappoint at all. The narrators did a fantastic job with the characters and the author's story had me hooked from the very beginning. The story had great characters and laugh out loud moments, assassins, aggression, possessiveness, secrets, suspense, mystery, steamy scenes and ends with a HEA. I laughed so much while listening to this story that I had tears falling from my eyes. This was an absolutely enjoyable book and one I will be recommending to my romance book loving friends. This is my first book from this author, but it definitely won't be my last.

You can't go wrong with the combination of Winston, Wesleigh and Alexandria. Fun book. More unhinged than I'm used to from this author.
