Narrators of the audio book really draw you in, easy to listen to. The details for describing particular locations or equipment are delightful. Background on the characters gives enough detail to always leave you wanting more.

The audio for this will 100% be how I finish the book. It's done fantasticly this far. Can't wait to listen to the rest

The writing is fantastic! The narrators are making the reading experience better. I will be reading the rest of the book.

The audiobook narration was compelling! I enjoyed the narrators and felt like the production was done well. The performance provided a unique voice for some of the characters but I struggled to differentiate some of the others.

As far as the story goes the I’m hesitant so far based on the sneak peak provided. Definitely can see where inspiration was drawn from the myths to help shape this world. Some of the world building felt incomplete to me. It will be interesting to read what happen in the rest of the book because the sneak peak ended on a bit of a cliffhanger

Enjoyed the audiobook a lot. Glad I had the full arc to finish it off. Full book gets 3.75 stars, but the audio portion really helped to enhance the experience.

Well, I am loving this and as always adore Rebecca Ross's gorgeous prose. I'll be getting a signed hardback copy this weekend and I'm so excited to finish this story and see how everything turns out.

Wild Reverence was one of my most anticipated reads for 2025. Divine Rivals and Ruthless Vows was my favorite duology and Rebecca Ross is a must read author for me. Thank you Macmillan Audio, NetGalley, & Rebecca Ross for allowing me to sample the audiobook early.

I’ve had my copy of Wild Revernce preordered (signed & personalized) since it was first announced. Timing had it that we would be on a roadtrip when it was released, due to that I didn’t know when I’d be able to start it - thanks to this sneak peak I didn’t have to wait! Both narrators are absolutely amazing and while I planned originally to jump back to my physical copy - I immediately requested the full audiobook from my library. I now plan on jumping into an immersive read so I can highlight and annotate while listening to the audiobook. I can’t wait to continue reading as 21 chapters was not enough.

I listened into the Sneak Peak immediately after finishing the eARC. I cannot get enough of Matilda and Vincent. This audiobook is just as great as reading the story. Hearing the narrators gave such a different feel for this story. Rebecca has the best prose and the narrators convey them so well. Thank you netgalley and publisher for the arc.

🚑 🚒 HELP! I NEED THE REST OF THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW. This was only 18 chapters! This prequel to "Divine Rivals" is an atmospheric experience. And these two voice actors ushered me right into the realm.

When Matilda was born she was deemed a Herald messenger god of the middle realm. Because the gods of the realms are conniving, disloyal, and filled with avarice, Matilda finds herself coming of age sooner than her mother hoped. Amidst training with the god of war, she has been reading dream scrolls from the mortal world. Through dreams, she and a mortal boy named Vincent form a connection. Though they have never met in real life, they feel a deep magnetic pull. When tragedy strikes Matilda's life, she is forced to run for protection, finding sanctuary in an unlikely place.

And that is all there is in this 18-chapter teaser. I will be purchasing this asap. It's an emergency. Rebecca Ross never disappoints.

Than you NetGalley, Rebecca Ross, and Macmillan Audio for this audio ARC sample in exchange for my honest review.

firstly, thank you to the publisher for an arc and the first 18 chapters of the alc!

i must start reading descriptions because i truly had noo idea that wild reverence was a prequel to divine rivals… i saw a new book by rebecca ross and immediately went to beg for an arc lol.

as far as prequels go, this was very well done, although i hadn’t read divine rivals in a hot minute so it took a minute to remember some of the world building — i also thought there would be more regarding the timeline of divine rivals, but i think what makes this prequel so great is that one does not have to know the lore rebecca ross previously laid out to enjoy this book.

this was a beautiful story full of budding romance, war that tears families apart, and the building of one’s identity. i didn’t get truly emotional until about 90% of the way through, but just know my heart was squished.

i truly enjoy ross’ writing and am eagerly anticipating her next book!

i also listened to the full audio on libro.fm and the dual narrators did a fantastic job!

i’m excited to see what my fairyloot edition will look like!

I loved Wild Reverence so much and this audio narration was absolutely beautiful! Her voice was so soothing and for the story so well, and she did such a great male voice for the characters, too. Getting this sneak peek of the first chapters definitely makes me want to re-listen to the entire book at some point!

Thank you to NetGalley, St. Martin's Press and Rebecca Ross for the audio sneak peek. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley and MacMillan audio for the preview of the audiobook for Wild Reverence. Despite having already read the eARC, I have not been able to stop thinking about this book. I absolutely loved the preview of the first 18 chapters of the audio and have purchased the full audio for myself (in addition to multiple editions of the book for my shelves). Everything about this was wonderfully executed and I can’t wait to listen to the rest of the audio.

No notes. Absolute perfection.

While there is plenty of action, I would not call this story fast paced by any means. The writing is quite possibly the most beautiful I have ever read, so I was grateful for the slower pace and build of the story. I would gladly live in these sentences.

While this is a prequel to Divine Rivals, it can absolutely be read independently with very minor spoilers relating to the gods.

This sneak peek of "Wild Reverence" was great!

It left me clamoring to get the rest of the book in my hands as soon as possible.

I enjoyed the multicast narration and I think thousands of readers will too.

I was so excited to get approved for this prequel and can't wait to see what else comes from Rebecca Ross someday.

Thank you to the publisher for selecting me for this ARC.

I loved being able to get this sneak peak from this audiobook. I devoured this in one listen while driving. It was so good and the narrator did a great job. Can't wait to listen to the whole audiobook.

Thank you Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for the digital audiobook for my honest review.

🌱| Thanks for the sneak peek ALC along with digital copy. Loving the narration. Magical. Dangerous and romantic. I’m really enjoying the immersive read. Waiting for my Libby hold to finish as the audio is really adding that extra layer I’m loving!

Thank you so much to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for this ALC (Sneak Peek). As soon as I saw this book was announced, I added it immediately to my tbr. I loved Divine Rivals and Ruthless Vows so I couldn't wait to dive back into this world.

What a strong opening to this story! The world building took a minute for me to understand, but once I got used to it, the story really took off. I can't wait to see what happens with Matilda and Vincent! So much has already happened and it's only the first 18 chapters.

I am listening to the audiobook, and love the narrator. Her voice is so soothing and perfect for this story.

I have officially purchased the book so I am going to continue the story now!

Thank you, NetGalley, for a special sneak peak of Wild Reverence.

The first 18 chapters of my most anticipated book of 2025? Say less

The first 18 chapters on audio were great and I loved the narrators! I didn’t realize it was just a sneak peek when I snagged it, and I was already past chapter 18 with the eARC. 😅 but what I listened to, I loved! I will say the first 18 chapters are good, but I think if that is all I had, it would not have been 5 stars. The story has a slow start and I’m not sure I was hooked quite yet. However, the rest of the book really picks up and is phenomenal! I loved it!

(Here is my review for the whole book)
I am gonna be super candid. I requested Wild Reverence on NetGalley so I could see if I liked it before I bought it 🫣 I loved Divine Rivals. Like, I’ve gifted a copy to at lease 4 people. BUT, I didn’t love Ruthless Vows and I didn’t click with Rebecca Ross’ other duology, Elements of Cadence. So I was weary about jumping into another one! But, thank goodness I did. I LOVED it. It had a slow start—it was interesting, but it didn’t grab me. I would say about 25% in I was INVESTED and didn’t want to put it down. I loved the characters and the world. I loved the found family and the LOVE. The Gods and the Magic. This is a special book. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. So if you happen to be a weary reader too…trust me, it’s worth it!

BIG thanks to Netgalley, Macmillan Audio, and St. Martins Press for the advanced copies!

Book: Wild Reverence - Audiobook Sneak Peek by Rebecca Ross
Genre: Fantasy
Rating: 5 stars!
Audiobook Narration: 5 stars!

Thank you to Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for this early audio sneak peek!

I have the e-ARC of Wild Reverence, of which I’m currently 50% through, and having the first 18 chapters via this audiobook sneak peek was amazing! The first 18 chapters will get you about 20-25% through the book.

This book is magical so far! I love it, I love it so much! I should have expected to enjoy it as much as I did because the Letters of Enchantment duology was such a hit for me.

Wild Reverence takes place in the same world, but 600 years earlier. While we learn about the world in Divine Rivals through Iris and Roman, Wild Reverence allows us to see and learn so much more about the gods and goddesses in this land.

The audiobook narration is wonderful! There is so much emotion in the delivery, and it only adds to the immersive quality of this book.

I cannot wait to wrap up this read, and I’m starting to suspect it’s going to be one of my top reads of the year!

I really enjoyed this romanstasy! It wasn’t my favorite and it felt a bit disconnected from the rest of the series (considering that one is one of my favorites) but it’s was so emotional and beautiful and I loved the ride that it was! It was also a bit long and a bit more world building than I’m used to but overall would recommend it for sure! I did feel like the narration kind of took away from the story. Often I had to rewind to understand what was being said. But overall it was really good!
