The sample of this book had me hooked. Very excited for this one to come out on audio so I can listen to it in its entirety.
Bummed this was only a sample but glad that my preorder will be available in 2 days!

This is one of my most anticipated books of the year and this sneak peek was perfection! Rebecca Ross's story telling and world building is magical and I was immediately drawn into Matilda's story.

This one immediately sucked me in. Perfect for all of us who loved mythology & fables as kids(and adults). Court intrigue among the gods. It’s a bloody and brutal world. Mathilda is a young minor god with a precarious position as half Underling, half Skyward. Vincent, a mortal boy, and Mathilda meet in his dreams. They have an immediate connection but circumstances separate them. I can’t wait to read the whole book! Thank you Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for this preview!

UGH! (Said complimentary.) This sneak peek has me foaming at the mouth for pub date. This multicast narration audiobook is phenomenal, and I can't wait to immersive-read this one!
Rebecca is an auto-buy author for me, and this book has been one of my most anticipated YA reads of the year. So far, Ross is delivering everything and more: her classic poetic prose, a captivating world, and emotional damage.
I am so excited to jump back into this world. I immediately connected to Matilda, and Rebecca has done an excellent job drawing us into her upbringing, struggles, and hopes right off the bat.
If you, like I, loved Divine Rivals but felt like Ruthless Vow wasn’t it for you, I implore you to give Wild Reverence a chance. Thank you Net Galley and Macmillan Audio for the audio ARC sneak peek! All thoughts are my own.

So this was just a sneak peek, but it did its job and left me wanting more. I feel like most of what was included in the sneak peek was world building and so it had a bit of a slow start, but starting really picking up at the end. Rebecca has such a beautiful writing style and if you’ve read the Letters of Enchantment duology, you’ll see some familiar names. The audio of this one was amazing and I can’t wait for this book to be released.

I am so excited to read Wild Reverence! Rebecca Ross is one of my favorite authors and this was an excellent excerpt to get started with the story. Fortunately I’ve already got my copy preordered and can’t wait to see how the story continues!!
Thank you to Rebecca Ross, Macmillan Audio, and NetGalley for a free sneak peek in exchange for honest feedback.

Even though this was only a sneak peek, which 25% is SO generous, I really loved it. I wanted to continue the story, the narrators were really well done. This story had me hooked from the beginning and I did not want to stop listening.

What was provided in this sneak peek is a 5/5. I’m not surprised at all thought. This narrator has a beautiful tone and every book I’ve listened to by her is always a favorite of mine. Additionally Rebecca Ross’ prose is unmatched. I can’t wait to finish this book by reading the digital ARC I was provided!

So apparently this is part of a series…which I didn’t know.
But, it’s a prequel…so that should be fine.
But then, this is also a SNAEK PEAK…so I only got the first 18 chapters… 😫🤔
So, basically I’m a bit lost right now…
This book involves Magicks. Magical Realms, Gods and Goddesses, and tooth and nail fighting… like… til death! 😮. But it also tells the story of Matilda, who is a young unknown goddess who must come of age quickly in order to try and save lives… and also, to try to search for her father!
And also a young, mortal boy who she sees in her dreams.
*** THIS HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED YET!!! LOOK 👀 FOR IT ON 9/2/25!! ***
I have put the book on hold at my library, so hopefully, once it’s released, I can find out what the rest of the book is about!!
3 1/2 🌟🌟🌟💫 stars for me, rounded up to 4!
#WikdReverence by @RebeccaRoss and narrated nicely by @GeorgeWeightman, @HannahvanderWesthuysen and @RebeccaNorfolk.
Thanks so much to #NetGalley and #MacmillanAudio for an ARC of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This is was so amazing. I wish I had the rest of the audiobook to listen to! I cannot wait to finish this book! Loved the narrator and always love Rebecca's beautiful writing.
Thank you so much for the ARC!

I listened to this wild I was driving and cleaning and I enjoyed the narration. However, the book itself fell flat.

This review is for a the Sneak Peak of Rebecca Ross’s New Adult Novel, “Wild Reverence”audiobook.
Wild Reverence is an epic fantasy about a young goddess, Matilda — born in the Underling Realm with the humble power of heralding. But as the story unfolds, we discover there is far more to her powers than even she knows. Meanwhile, Vincent of Beckett — a mortal from Wyndrift — has dreamed of Matilda since he was childhood. It seems as if their lives have been woven together by Fate from the very beginning.
It was only the first 5 hours of the book but I was immediately captivated. The dual POV narrations done by Hannah van der Westhuysen (Matilda), George Weightman (Vincent), and narrator Rebecca Norfolk helped make the story deeper, more immersive, brining it immediately to life. I cannot wait to hear the full audiobook version!
Thank you to Macmillan Audio for the sneak peak audio review consideration. All thoughts are my own.

In the lands of gods, mortals are almost playthings. The world above and below are filled with gods with various abilities. Matilda is born of both the sky and the underling, a rare combination, and many are anxious to see what kind of goddess she will grow to become. For now, she is a herald, destined to run messages back and forth between the two worlds.
Vincent is just a mortal boy when he first meets Matilda. She joins his nightmares and is always a calming, helping figure. He doesn't know who she is or where she is or even if she is real - but he looks forward to the dreams where she is there.
This was such a moving story - about those with power and how the wield it. I loved learning about the above and below, the abilities and skills and how who each god and goddess were. Their stories and histories were fascinating, the stars sounded lovely to see. Matilda and Vincent were wonderful characters and it was hard to not instantly love them.
I started this as an audio and the narrator was wonderful. I went into this remembering very little of book 1 or 2 other than the basics and a few character points. This book was easy to love and jump right into without knowing anything. But that last chapter - oh the way I smiled a big silly grin. THAT I did remember. I loved this one!
A huge thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.

Thank you Macmillan Audio for this sneak peak of the audiobook of Wild Reverence. As one of my most anticipated reads of the year, I was thrilled to start this! This story is set in the same world as the Divine Rivals duology, and provides a deeper look into the mythology and back story of the gods in that world.
The Matilda chapters were narrated by Hannah Van Der Westhuysen, whose style brought the prose-like writing to life. I very much enjoyed listening to her portrayal of all the characters. I sometimes find it difficult to listen rather than read fantasy, but both narrators had excellent pacing and made it easy for me to follow the story. I was engaged from the first minute of listening!
I can't wait to read and listen to the rest of the story!

Thank you Netgalley and MacMillan Audio for the audio sneak peek of Wild Reverence. I’m completely hooked and can’t wait for my pre-order to arrive Tuesday. I’ve loved diving back into the world of the Divine Rivals duology. I’ll be posting a full review once I finish the book, but I’ve loved the first 18 chapters and the beautiful multi narration. Ross has a lyrical style of writing that scratches an itch in my brain, and I can always tell Wild Reverence is going to be 5 star start to fall.

I’m so grateful to have gotten the sneak peak of the audiobook from @netgalley @macmillan.audio and @beccajross. This is easily looking like a 5⭐️ read for me. Can’t wait to finish it on Sept. 2nd when it’s released.
Really enjoying the narrations by George Weightman, Hannah van der Westhuysen, and Rebecca Norfolk. Again can’t wait to finish the audiobook to give a full review, but they are giving me all the vibes I could want and have come to expect in a Rebecca Ross story.
Matilda is a young goddess with the power of messages. Since this isn’t a strong magic, it is key for Matilda to have strong allies. But just because someone is perceived weaker doesn’t mean they don’t have tricks up their sleeve. Matilda holds a secret not even her closest allies know about.
Vincent has begged for help. Specifically from the beautiful goddess in his dreams. But when she doesn’t come in his greatest time of need, he no longer trusts her and comes hardened.
Fate would not keep them separated for long however. Matilda returns to Vincent and will face so much more than she may be ready or willing to.

Since this was a just a sneak peak I did not post a review.
I have loved Rebecca's prior books and am excited to get my pre-order when it releases. The sneak peak added to my anticipation. The first portion of the book showed the world building that has occurred and allowed me to get drawn into the characters.

Thank you @NetGalley for the sneak peak of the audio book of Wild Reverence!!!
I loved the Divine Rivals duology so I’m excited the author decided to do a prequel story. I can tell that this is going to be another beautifully written story. Even the sadder parts, have a lyrical style to them.
I enjoyed the audio book narrators too, it’s dual narration 🤌🏻 I’m so excited this book comes out in TWO days, so I can finally read the rest of the story!!

Thank you to Rebcca Ross and the publisher for this audiobook sneak peak!
I really enjoyed rebeccas pros and i feel like the narrators choosen were great fits! Its so important they fit the tone or else it takes you out of the story. I think the story did a great job explaining things with the 18 chapters we got however it did start very very slow and didnt grip me immediately so ill have to read a little bit more to see if it's something I would absolutely love!

Just finished an advanced copy of a book that is about to be released on September 2nd called, Wild Reverence. This story was about Matilda, a young goddess with the ability of messenger magic who can deliver messages between the three realms. At a young age her life intertwines with Vincent's, a mortal boy who dreams of Matilda even though they've never met. They form a bond through these dreams, but years later when he's in trouble he writes to her asking her to help him, she doesn't answer him. He doesn't know she's in trouble of her own in another realm. They are later thrown back into each other's lives as adults when Vincent's realm is on the brink of war, they are forced to learn to lean on each other despite years of not trusting those around them, and they quickly become important parts of each other's lives again. Matilda will do anything she can to help Vincent win this war but when she has a choice to make that could change the realms, it comes with a steep sacrifice that could cost her what she loves most. I really enjoyed this story! This was a prequel to Divine Rivals, and I was so excited to go back into this world to go back in time and get more of a backstory! The world building for this whole series is so well done, you feel like you're a part of the story not just reading it. I felt an emotional connection to these characters, I loved getting their story through the years and being able to see their growth as characters and the way they kept being pulled back to each other. This was a really sweet and enjoyable story! 💛📚
Thank you to the author, the publisher, and Netgalley for this advanced copy of Wild Reverence, in exchange for an honest review.
