I got a sneak peek listen to chapters 1-18, so about 4 hours of the book.
Okay, I am hooked, and I can’t wait to get my hands on the full audiobook so I can find out what happens to Matilda.
Matilda is a young goddess, and she finds herself attracted to Vincent, a mortal. Matilda visits Vincent in his dreams. But… there is also Bade. Bade is a god and he has taken an oath to protect Matilda.
The narration was really good and I found myself sucked in by their voices.
Can’t wait to listen to the rest!
Thank you #NetGalley for the sneak peek of #WildReverence. Thank you @macmillan.audio for approving my request.

I think I need a therapist after reading this book, just so I can tell them all about it.
Not only has Rebecca Ross found a way to take us back in time in the mortal world and appropriately changed the technology and the ways of these people, but she has also built a brand new mythology for this world - one completely separate from current mythology, while also feeling familiar to all mythology. I was so intrigued by the gods in Divine Rivals that I am so happy that this book was made to explore them more.
Matilda and Vincent may have an even better love story than Iris and Roman. The way that their story is told and woven through other events of the gods is magnificent. Ross knows exactly where to strike to cause my own fault line to crumble. This book is beautiful, it is sad, and it is a fantastic mythological fantasy.
The audiobook for this is so, so good. I could feel the emotion from each and every character in this story. This team of narrators brings both Matilda and Vincent’s POV to life so nicely and then we get one final nice narration for the epilogue.
5 stars
Thank you to @saturdaybooks @stmartinspress for the eARC and @macmillan.audio for the ALC. All thoughts are my own.

Audio ARC sneak peek provided by NetGalley, first 4 hours and 45 minutes.
I’ve read The Queen’s Rising and Divine Rivals in the past, and neither fully worked for me. But this sneak peek of Wild Reverence felt practically tailored to my tastes. It’s already shaping up to be my favorite Rebecca Ross novel.
The story follows Matilda, a young goddess born of two rival clans of deities. Raised in a cutthroat world of shifting alliances, betrayals, and divine power struggles (where gods can kill one another to seize strength and use mortals as pawns) Matilda’s life is dangerous and uncertain. Yet she finds herself drawn to a mortal named Vincent, visiting him in his dreams, even as the world of gods tightens its grip on her fate.
The worldbuilding here is fascinating, with richly imagined lore about the gods’ origins and the complex structures of power between them. The prose is lyrical and immersive, perfectly suited to the mythic tone of the story. Combined with the strong narration and atmospheric production, it made for a captivating listening experience.
This sneak peek left me eager for more. I can’t wait to get the full audiobook and see where Matilda’s story leads.

I will die on the hill that Rebecca Ross is one of the best writers of this generation. Her writing flows like a river. It's so beautiful and unique.
I loved her other works so to kind of re-enter this world through the Gods, was so fun. I wish this was the entire audio because I just want to devour the entire story.

I don't always like dramatic tellings but this is just gorgeous. The language the voice, the story-- unfortunately I only had a sample but it left me wanting more!

Beautifully written and performed. I was absolutely captivated and immersed from the start. I loved Divine Rivals and this expands on the world of gods and magic. I cannot wait to read more.

This audiobook sneak peek was wonderful! The narrators are absolutely incredible and truly the perfect choices for these characters. Luckily, I have the e-ARC so I can go ahead and finish the book, however I am envious of those who have the rest of the audiobook!

DNF about 50 % of the way through the sneak peek
I absolutely loved the Divine Rivals duology - it's one of my favorites. I was excited for this one & the title and cover are gorgeous. I think it's really beautiful that it's a prequel to the series and explores a small element from the Divine Rivals series. Unfortunately, I could not get into it. I don't read a lot of fantasy and this was fairly high fantasy for me. Whereas the duology is like historical fiction romance with some fantasy sprinkled in, this one wasn't. However, so many people love the fantasy /romantasy genre that I think fantasy girls are going to love this!! Maybe it was the audiobook or a timing thing for me but it just wasn't working for me. I'm very sad about this as it was a highly anticipated read. But like I said, fantasy girls will be happy!
Thank you for including a sneak peek of this as a listen now!! I love audiobooks so it's great when they are available as arcs or sneak peeks (and this is a good portion of the book!)

I was so excited to see this title on audio I never even realized it was a sneak peek! I cannot wait to hear the rest of it! It’s so good! Both her books in the Divine Rivals duology were 5 stars for me. I’m so happy to be back in this world again! I’m loving the story and point of view of the god’s! Rebecca is one of my absolute favorites authors! She writes so beautifully! The way she world builds is captivating! I just know this book is going to be incredible! The narrator was wonderful! I honestly think it was the perfect voice for the role! Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the opportunity to listen to this early! I’ve highly anticipated this book since it was announced!

I was impressed by the sample of this novel and was eager to continue reading. The fact that it was a Book of the Month pick was a deciding factor in my decision to select it. The audiobook was of high quality.

This sneak peak mostly sets up the world and time in which Wild Reverence is set. Not too much happens but a lot is foreshadowed and has definitely left me looking forward to finishing the rest of the book. I really like multi-narrator audiobooks like this, and thought the female narrator did a great job differentiating the different characters!

This sneak peak was everything I cannot wait for the rest of the audiobook next month.
It can’t come soon enough!
Love the narrator choice, just all around perfect.

Rebecca Ross has this spellbinding way of writing. Only a sneak peek but I wanted more!
But from the excerpt that I read/heard, the world building and plot has me very intrigued. Narration was excellent, but I would also read from a physical book to take in all the poetic words. Can't wait for this to be released!

Wild Reverence was exactly what I hoped it would be: a stunningly beautiful book filled with lyrical writing, rich lore, a mist-soaked world of gods and goddesses, and a star-crossed love that bridges time itself. It tells the tale of Matilda, an under-realm messenger goddess, and Vincent, the mortal lord who once befriended her as a child. Their story was achingly tender, filled with sacrifice and yearning, and was devastatingly poignant.
I loved the audio excerpt that narrated by Hannah van der Westhuysen, George Weightman, and Rebecca Norfolk, and I highly recommend listening to this one. The cadence of the writing lends itself really well to an audiobook and makes it feel even more like a legend passed down from generation to generation. If you want an emotional fantasy with high stakes secrets, blood-soaked action, mythical powers, a fight against destiny, and the impossible choice between divine duty and mortal love, you would absolutely adore this one. I loved it so much and cannot recommend it enough!
Thank you to Saturday Books, Macmillan Audio, St. Martin’s Press, Macmillan Publishers, Rebecca Ross, and NetGalley for the ARC and ALC.

Just a sneak peak but so far so good! I will probably finish soon! Very excited. Can’t give full stars until I finish

If I could give this a thousand stars (based on an 18-chapter sneak peek), I would! I loved the narrators' voices, and I definitely plan to pick up the full version, whether in audio or the physical version. It doesn't matter to me, I must finish it! The writing is beautiful. The story is intriguing. At first, I thought it was going to be more of a love story between teenage Goddess Matilda and mortal teenager Vincent, who are incidentally able to visit each other in dreams. However, the more the story unfolds, it becomes...more. Everything. I was hanging on every word. Anticipation is high with this one! Thank you to Macmillan Audio for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Based on this snipped, I would definitely choose to pick up the full length novel when it comes out- either physically or on audio.
Wild Reverence straddles what I’ve noticed to be Ross’s talents and will hopefully avoid some of the pitfalls of her last novel. To start off with, I love the rich lyrical prose, which I think will pull in fans of hers that liked A River Enchanted more than Divine Rivals, while still appealing to the latter camp as she continues to dig into the mythology of the Divine Rivals world. I was unsure whether I’d enjoy it, as it started off seeming to set up a romance between two teenage characters- however, the non-romantic plot
Beats started to intrigue me during the last third of this preview. I’m becoming utterly engrossed in the court politics between the gods, and appreciate that this book seems to be building towards a romance between the two main characters (Matilda and Vincent) as ADULTS in their mid/late twenties rather than 16 year olds.
This is one I could see being well suited for immersion reading as well. The narration is excellent, but the prose does kind of beg to be read and taken in with the eyes.

I cant freaking wait!!! I wish the whole book had been offered, it seems a bit unfair not to have arcs

To be fair, I only listened to the preview of [book:Wild Reverence|222376906] but it had me from the first chapter. [author:Rebecca Ross|14926516] knows how to write a love story filling with longing and drama. Just like [book:Divine Rivals|60784546] we have an epic love story in a world or power hungry gods.
Matilda, the youngest Goddess, and Vincent, a mortal boy, connected through dreams.
What will take her down? Her head or her heart??
There is a vast cast of characters, and as much I enjoy the production of the audiobook version, I think I would prefer to complete this novel by reading the book rather than continuing the audiobook.

While I loved Divine Rivals and Ruthless Vows, the way I LOVED digging into the lore that I am understanding built those stories was spectacular. As per usual., Ross's writing is absolute perfection. It is literal poetry. I am utterly in love with this story.
