This book is phenomenal. I read the book and listened to a sneak peek of the audiobook (part 1 of the book) and both were must read/listens. If you are a romantasy fan you will enjoy the lore and character/story development in this story immensely. The main character is strong and learni n how to navigate the world she was born into and sheltered from within a constant barrage of challenges and changes happening around her. This book was well written, detailed in world building and character development, and creative.
The narrator did a fantastic job with the audiobook and really brought the story and world to life

Can't wait to listen to the rest of the audiobook! This preview was engaging enough to make me want to keep listening when it is finally released!

I’m sure this is fabulous and will read when it is the full version! This is my fault because I don’t see it was a sneak peak!

What a preview! This was so, so good, and I now have to decide if I want to finish it right away in the eARC or if I want to finish when the audiobook releases. It was so captivating and intriguing. I wish I would've waited to closer to pub day to listen so I didn't have to stop.

Thank you MacMillan audio for the sneak peak of the first 18 chapters on audio.
I had the privilege of listening to the first 18 chapters of the audiobook, and it is phenomenal. A story this beautiful needs an audio that stands up to the beauty of the story, and this audio delivers. Dual POV narration and the narrators are perfect for Matilda and Vincent and really draw you into the story. They breath life into Ross's beautiful prose. The sound quality is great with no inconsistencies in the audio quality. I can't wait to listen to the full audiobook.
Wow! This book is exquisitely beautiful. Lyrical prose and stunning imagery wrapped around a beautiful love story. I was so moved by this book. What do you get when an irreverent mortal falls in love with a divine goddess. A story of love, yes, but also of a life worth living, of loss, grief, greed, and yearning. A story of prioritizing love over glory. Of exchanging having your name on all men’s lips for only one man uttering your name. It’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve read.
I loved the rich worlds of the gods and getting to know Matilda from birth and her childhood. It is so rare that we see books that highlight a god growing up, and I loved that. We so often get glimpses of gods when they are fully formed and in their power. I loved getting to meet Matilda as a godchild first. The love story between Matilda and Vincent is beautiful yearning at its finest.
Although this is a standalone, I do think you need to read Divine Rivals and Ruthless Vowels first for maximum emotional connection. What a stunning prequel. I have finished the book and am feeling bereft that I am no longer entwined in Vincent’s and Matilda’s story. I fear their story is now etched on my heart.
If you loved Divine Rivals, you absolutely must read Wild Reverence.

This book stumbled into being...fine. The juxtaposition of the character non having any emotions compared to the flowery writing didn't make sense and took me out of the book. At emotional points, the character would spend much more time waxing poetic about the tongue of a character than about the very emotional situation.
One of my favorite parts of this book was the older style language. It seemed fleshed out and consistent and made sense with the environment. I just got so lost in all the metaphors and distractions that it muddied the whole writing style for me. Another aspect I enjoyed was the sheer creativity. The world was really fleshed out and at several points I found myself wondering 'how does someone come up with this?'
But overall, the muddy writing and questionable pacing felt very distracting to me.

Ok, the narrator is amazing on this! Really a captivating story teller. Loved. Will be tuning into the rest of the book via audiobook when it’s released.
The story itself. Fascinating. I’m always super drawn into books with gods and goddesses and the politics with it all, the drama. I love it. This was a really fun exploration of that. I was already pulled into these characters from Divine Rivals series. I’m still equally hooked. The world building is vast, but not overly complicated. I could see everything so vividly in my head.
I need more!

Since this audiobook is only a sneak peak, this review will focus solely on the audiobook production. The multicast narration brought distinct voices that bring the world in Wild Reverence to life with emotional nuance and vivid character presence.

This sneak peek is exactly what I needed to pull the trigger on deciding to purchase the full audiobook.
The narration was so engaging and really pulled me in.
Thank you for this teaser!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for this audiobook sneak peek!! I love that I was so into the world Ross while building while still being unsure of where the story is going to go. I wish we would have gotten a taste of the romance in this sneak peek, but I forgive because I know when it does come it's going to be tender, and delightful. I am lucky enough to have an earc as while and will be immediately diving in to finish this story!

Thank you to Rebecca Ross, Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for this sneak peek into Wild Reverence.
I was torn between wanting to listen to the sneak peek and wanting to wait to see if I would get approved to view the e-ARC of Wild Reverance, but I just couldn’t help myself.
I loved the eighteen chapters that were offered in the sneak peek. Hannah van der Westhuysen, the narrator, has a lovely voice.

This is a stunning audiobook with incredible narration. I am heartbroken it’s just a teaser, but it makes me so excited to listen to the rest!!!

Thank you NetGalley for this preview of the first 18 chapters! The narrators bring the characters and story to life. I’m excited to listen to the rest of this book when it becomes available.

OH MY GOODNESS.
This sneak peek was EVERYTHING. Thank you so much!!!
I absolutely am obsessed with the narration of this, the cast had done a fantastic job of making the story come to life! It felt so real and emotional!!!
Rebecca Ross's writing is phenomenal as usual. The world building is everything I was hoping for and MORE.
Truly cannot wait to keep reading!

Thank you, Macmillan Audio, for sending me the audiobook in advance. I devoured it as much as I did the book. The narrator absolutely brings this story to life. This is a must-listen. Absolutely magical. ✨🖤

As always, all thoughts are my own. 💕

This audio definitely helped me get into this book! I have never read a Rebecca Ross book and was very intimidated. Now I can't wait to finish this book!

Thank you netgalley and macmillian audio for my sneak peak!
I really Enjoy the first 18 chapters I was enthralled by the characters this was such a tease i now need to finish the book!
Rebecca ross is 1000 percent and auto buy author to no-ones surprise

Audiobook Sneak Peek (Ch. 1-18) Review: Audiobook wise? The production and narrators are 10/10. The main narrator for the FMC has an immersive voice that brought me into the fairytale-like setting, and her voice was clear and easy to understand. Her voice added to the storytelling, and I'm sad this was just a sneak peek rather than the whole book, because I don't want to go back to my e-book! There is a male narrator for the few POV chapters from another character's perspective, and I appreciated that because it helped to break up the story.
Storywise: I like how this book feels like a fairytale, but it could also get dull at times. The POV kept me from truly immersing myself within the story and with the characters, but I still need to finish the book, so we'll see how I feel by the end!
Thank you to the publisher for providing me with an audiobook sneak peek in exchange for my honest review.

What a cliff hanger to end on! I loved the audio, it helped immerse me into the story so much better than by just reading it. The narrators were great, the voice for Matilda was so calm and I loved her voice. We didn't hear a lot from Vincent yet, but I enjoyed listening every time he showed up.
I cannot wait to continue this story though and I love the little jump start that this gave me.

I NEED MORE!!!! This was absolutely amazing and I can't wait for release day to finish the story. I love Rebecca Ross, and have been anticipating this book release for a long time now (ordered my Fairyloot Edition last week). So as soon as I saw a sneak peek available, I grabbed it without hesitation. The narrators were nice to listen to and I like that they were able to distinguish enough voices so you weren't confused as to who was who. The story itself *chefs kiss*. I can't wait for this book to come out because I want to devour the rest <3 I already know this is going to be a five star read for me.
