This was a really cute story about a unicorn making artwork, and my daughter thought it was funny and she loved all the bright colors. She is 6 and definitely in her unicorn phase, and really into art, so this was right up her alley

My daughter and I are loving reading this series together. She likes predicting what will happen next and examining the illustrations to try and tell her own stories. So cute and the perfect length to keep her attention. We laughed the entire time. I enjoy how it gives us the chance to discuss other items. At the end my daughter explained how it makes her feel when she draws a picture ❤️

Silly unicorns can’t play with crayons because they will eat them! As the girl in the story tries to teach her unicorn to draw without eating the crayons, the story gets cuter and cuter. The illustrations are bright and colorful and a book little ones will love!

Thank you for the ARC. As usual, the images were colorful and bright. It had a good message about art being subjective and scribbles can be art. My son is currently just scribbling and we are loving it.

My kids and I have been enjoying the Never Let a Unicorn... books and were excited to see another. Never Let a Unicorn Scribble is about how art doesn't have to be perfect and even what seems like scribbles can be special. The story is sweet and funny and my kids especially thought it was funny when the unicorn ate the crayons! They illustrations are silly and fun. It was another winner with my kiddos!
Thanks to Sourcebooks Kids and NetGalley for an eARC of this book for an honest review.

Although this is just as good as any of the Funny Unicorn books, I think this one suffers from a repetition problem (which is usually encouraged when it comes to kids, but I personally feel like that is not a great thing) How many times can we say scribbles in one book? Having said that, it is still fun and it still plays with color and black and white in an interesting way.

Never Let a Unicorn Scribble: A Magical Picture Book for Creative Kids! (Hardcover)
by Diane Alber
Similar to the series if you give a mouse a cookie, but with unicorns. This book is an art book for the elementary classroom. It shows that everything starts simply and can be built on. Art starts with a scribble, before it can be a master piece.

The message that “all great art starts with a scribble” is such a strong supportive phrase for the blossoming little artists that may think because it’s not “perfect” it’s not “good.”

"I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."
I love unicorns so i'm always drawn in by a children's book featuring my favorite animal. This has good illustrations. There are consequences for actions so I wouldn't call it twaddle or negative. It is sitlly and imaginative as I would expect a book about unicorns to be.

Oh my goodness! What an absolutely adorable book with a great message. I love the story and the artwork is just fabulous. I am a teacher and I’ll definitely be recommending this book to my students and will be getting a few copies for our classroom library. I love the message so much and it has a unicorn so what else could be more perfect?
Thank you to the publisher, author and NetGalley for my ARC.

This is the third book I've read in this series. I thought it would be the same as the painting one, but it was different. Great illustrations and fun way to encourage children to enjoy experimenting with art.

Such a sweet book! You can always count on Diane Alber’s illustrations being vibrant and beautiful, but the message behind this story is what is so endearing to me. A scribble can become a masterpiece in the right hands (or hooves). I whole-heartedly recommend this book to both children and adults.
