this was a strong opening chapter to the Girl Who Promised series, it had that fantasy elements that I was hoping for and enjoyed from this type of book. It was a unique concept and worked with the world that was going on. The characters had that element that I was looking for and enjoyed from this type of book. Jake Rab wrote this well and left me wanting more.

Absolutely hooked from the first page. I have been swept into a new world. Created and filled with magic. Incredible world building, early civilization and magical creatures. With Nature and Lore all wrapped up in mystery. I couldn't stop reading and look forward to book two!
