The cover and title grabbed me right away. I thought it was hilarious. However, this book fell flat for me.
Loved the concept where a person changes into a vampire or dies based on what the vampire thinks about that person at the time of feeding. Also, loved all the parts where the author took shots at modern day influencers.
Some of the sections that were elongated weren't very helpful to the story. But we really didn't need the bite scene to be 3-4 chapters. Also, was not a fan of adding another POV from the officer, and constant flashbacks. It really took away from the story. It was all around messy. Due to the time frame it took to write this and get this out, I feel that this project overall was very rushed. It has great potential though.

This definitely was a unique take on the #coldplayed incident that happened recently, but instead of an affair, this particular video captured a vampire biting his girlfriend at a festival.
This book was really funny at times, with the narrative being almost comedic, and I enjoyed the vampire elements and progression of Blossom slowly transforming into one of the undead. The use of modern technology and social media in this story is quite clever and somewhat realistic- obviously not with the whole vampires being real thing, but showing how the media can portray things differently and how stories can be weaved into truths and lies.
I admit, the romance, which I think was supposed to be one of the main focuses, really lacked for me. I personally didn't feel much chemistry between Blossom and Alden, plus his actions at the beginning just felt childish and borderline asshole-ish, I could understand his reasoning, but considering his bite revolved around how much he loved Blossom, his reactions after felt anything but. Plus, the characters had only been dating for three months beforehand, and since we didn't see much of their relationship I didn't really connect that much.
The plot is fun, crazy and the writing is easy to read. The pacing is a little slow at times, and whilst it's predictable and clichè, it's also a generally amusing and entertaining read, perfect for a filler or something to ease you out of a slump. Blossom growing into her new role just felt a little quick and sudden, but for a short novel it wasn't a big deal.
The ending wraps up nicely, with a hint of a possible sequel. Overall I did like this book, I found it quick to read and generally a fun book filled with vampire shenanigans and some social media sorcery!
