This took me by surprise like what?!

This was so unexpectedly good. It’s such a slow pace story that hooks you in. I wouldn’t say there’s romance, but more of a yearning that rips at you with every page turn… Ugh. This was done so well.

And just the story overall!! This was so opposites attract, but on a master class level. The way it was depicted— Girl. I was sat. I’ve been finding my reads lately have been lacking so much depth, but this?
It gave me everything I wanted & more.

Overall, even though this is considered a cozy fantasy… Sh*t was so real & emotional. Books w/ stories like these need so much love— Moira Quirk did a wonderful job!! I enjoyed her narration so much & look forward to listening to her other work.
