“You know that book where the children’s book illustrator and the author fall in love?” 👏🏻

A perfect Fall read for any romance reader - such a cute and heartwarming story! Read this ARC through NetGalley and I know it’s going to be so popular in a few weeks when it comes out! So many great moments of friendship in this book, the sprinkles of Lennon’s personality were perfect… although I would’ve loved even more of a storyline with her sister. Any book that references Twilight is an immediate yes for me. And Fletcher? No words. “I don’t know what you’re used to from everyone else, but start expecting more from me, okay?” Take my heart on a silver platter right now! ❤️

"Drawn Together" unites illustrator Flora and writer Fletcher with the most improbable happenstance (I refuse to call it a meet cute). It's one of the books only missteps (I don't think further knowledge ever fully excuses it), then what proceeds is charming. I've soured on dual POVs of late and "Drawn Together" is mostly from Flora's perspective with Fletcher's voice being utilised in a unique way. The ending leaves a few plot holes, but Juliana Smith's work is a real winner, successfully avoiding miscommunication and a third act break.

This book feels like stepping straight into a perfectly scripted romcom—equal parts laughter, longing, and swoon. Flora, our FMC, is delightfully Lorelai-coded (yes, that Lorelai), and she completely stole my heart. The sheer amount of romcom references scattered throughout made me grin nonstop—this is basically a love letter to the genre.
The writing is witty, imaginative, and so immersive that I could practically hear the city buzzing around me. The main romance is perfection—Fletcher’s yearning deserves a chef’s kiss, and the way their dynamic shifts from banter-y “enemies” to something so much deeper felt authentic and magical. Add in New York City during its dreamiest seasonal moment, and you have a setting that amplifies all the cozy, nostalgic vibes.
Also… the elevator scene? Yeah. I’ll be replaying that in my head for a long time.
This is a romcom-lover’s dream: clever, sweet, and full of the kind of yearning that makes your heart ache in the best way.

Wow!!! This book is like a physical romcom, with all the laughs and romance you need. The FMC, (Flora) is incredibly Lorelai coded, so prepare to fall in love with her. Also the amount of romcom references is phenomenal, making this the ideal read for lovers of this genre. The writing is so imaginative yet humorous that I felt so immersed in their world. The plot & subplots are incredibly well-crafted, being clear and moving throughout.
The way Fletcher yearns is truly 10/10! Their connection felt very realistic and was the perfect balance of enemies until they switched. Also during the best seasonal time in NYC, too good! This is for the hopeless romantics who adore witty and fun writing ⛴️📖🗽🧁☕️

We were lucky enough to receive a super early ARC of this book and it was a pure delight!! Super cozy (which feels crazy to say for a big city romance) but Juliana really delivered on this one!! Nostalgic, sweet, and the perfect amount of yearning!

I will literally think about the elevator scene for the next year 🤭🤭
