A New Beginning is a charming, feel-good read that hits all the right notes for anyone who's ever felt stuck and dreamed of something more. Tamsin Davies is juggling a crumbling career, a nightmare ex, and the looming threat of moving back in with her parents. Enter Ben—an aristocrat with a heart of gold, a love for vegetarian cuisine, and zero interest in playing the posh card.

Their worlds couldn’t be more different, but the chemistry? Instant. As Tamsin helps Ben find the perfect property for his restaurant, sparks fly—but she’s determined to keep things strictly professional. What follows is a sweet, slow-burn romance with just enough tension to keep you hooked, and plenty of cozy vibes to make you smile.

Laura Randell writes with warmth and wit, and the story balances ambition, independence, and emotional growth in a way that feels real and relatable. It’s low on spice but high on heart—a perfect pick for fans of cinnamon bun heroes, forced proximity, and opposites-attract stories.

Curl up with a cuppa and enjoy this uplifting escape. It’s like a romcom with muddy boots and big dreams.

With thanks to Laura Randell, the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

i love this book. it has given me such comfort and wonderful feels that i needed in our current world. the Christmas books each year bring me something joyous each time.its that mid year-ish need for comfort that only Christmas books can bring.
the cover on this book deserves extra bonus points round of applause. i mean look at it. could you ever pass this one buy without going read read read!? no, neither could i.
i was instantly hooked to our characters and what would happen to them. knowing there was a 6 week countdown to Christmas and what would happen next made me automatically holding my breathe. when i new our two were connecting and then definitely meant to be i was worried, i cared, i mean they cant go their separate ways can they? but Tamsin deserves her dream. but she cant leave the country now. but what about her dream? but what about love!!!?
i love how strong and determined Tamsin was. she wants this life, shes worked for it, and does all she can to get there. which sadly starts with getting her ex off her back and getting as much property sold as possible in her estate agents job. otherwise it means she will have to move back home which is not ideal.
then she meets Ben. oh charming, kind, attentive Ben. the chemistry sparkled on sight and i was smiling at them from then on in every time they interacted.
Ben needs help finding a new location for his future plans to open a restaurant. he can resist being drawn to Tamsin.
these two are snuggle me in warmth kind of romance reading. i just couldn't stop grinning. which only made it worse as i then did care abut what would happen to them. Tamsin had been heart so much in the past by someone she loved. so how can she trust him. and even more than that put her own dreams on hold? so what is her dream? could it be changing? could it adapt?
with a countdown to Christmas and then beyond these two must find out whether Christmas is just for Christmas or a whole lifetime.
a gorgeous book that followed through with my initial love from the cover illustration.
the characters are the ones you want to know in real life. and i really fell for all the side characters too.
this book was everything i needed and more. a peace bringing, warming read for sure.
