Bennett's Roof is the place to be, or at least that is what all the neighborhood animals think!! This story has such adorable illustrations and I love the overall story concept. I would have liked to see another page or two of the animals working to resolve their conflict but overall, I think those gaps could be filled in by whomever is reading the story aloud. Cute for younger kids!

So many sweet lessons in such a cute little picture book! Bennett just wants some peace but his friends have other ideas.

Bennett's Roof provides a great lesson in sharing, teamwork, and the importance of owning and rectifying one's mistakes. A super cute read!

We (myself and my kids age 3 and 5.5) loved the art and the premise of this book. I liked the expanded vocabulary which included a few words new words for my younger kids’. I would have loved an extra page on the conflict resolution, and didn’t love reading all the arguing dialogue out loud. My kids also wanted more connection/friendship in the characters.

This is a cute, simple story about respecting others' property, sharing space, and sharing resources. Children will enjoy the colorful illustrations and the cause and effect elements with onomatopoeia for the sound of the roof breaking.
Short and to the point, it would make a quick read aloud for a storytime.

Bennett’s Roof is an excellent book demonstrating the tragic collateral damage that results from selfish inconsideration. While a seemingly weighty subject matter on paper, Allepuz crafts a delightful tale that attests to the importance of community and working together for the common good. The story is told in a lighthearted manner with darling illustrations that capture the attention of young children. When reading the book to a preschooler, she was initially thrilled with the dramatic consequence of the animals’ naughtiness. However, she was quickly inspired by how successful and happy everyone was when using their unique skills to repair the damage. This is a story that continues to be discussed days after reading. The message and valuable lesson lives on.

This book was so adorable. I read it to my daughter and she enjoyed the book and laughed when I made funny voices to imitate the crashing sounds and the various animals. My main issue is that I read It digitally on my kindle and the cute over that drew me to the book wasn’t shown on the kindle at all there was just a black square. Also some of the pages didn’t line up when it was saying what tools the animals brought, it would start saying something then switch to a different animal in the next page and then circle back to finish the sentence so idk what animal brought what for some of them.
If that gets fixed it will be an awesome digital book but aside from those technical errors it was a fun book to read. It teaches children about different animals and working together and my daughter enjoyed it. I’ll definitely read it to her again.

My nephew's name is Bennett, so I was so excited to get my hands on this book! This was such a cute little story about teamwork and why it's important to be nice to others. I wish the story had just been a little bit longer, but I will be purchasing once it publishes!
Thank you to Netgalley, Anuska Allepuz, and Publisher Spotlight for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest feedback.

How cute is this book! I love the story, the dialog, the lesson and the artwork. As a teacher, I cannot wait to show my students this book! They will love it, especially Bennett. He’s just too cute. In a world of AI that we now live in, I’m happy to see a cover and artwork that is not AI generated. Overall just a lovely book!
Thank you to the publisher, author and NetGalley for the ARC.

This is a very cute book with a good message. Everyone was so busy fighting that they didn't realize that they were on someone else's roof until it collapsed. They kindly helped put it back together and stopped fighting. This book has a cute message and fun illustrations.

Thank you for the ARC. This was a cute little story about sharing and working together. Bennett and other animals all wanted to sit on the roof when it collapsed so they worked together to rebuild it. It’s much easier to work together than fight. This was a cute and quick read with fun pictures.

Bennett's Roof is about a bunch of animals who all thinj that a certain roof belongs to them. There end up being so many that the roof collapses! The animals all realize that working together and sharing is much better than fighting and they put the roof back together. This is a quick read aloud that helps show the importance of sharing and teamwork.
Thanks to NubeOcho and NetGalley for an eARC of this book for an honest review.
