Thank you to Mulamu Publishing - Neo Pacifica Recordings | Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), Members' Audiobooks, the author and NetGalley for both the DRC and LRC in return for an honest review
This is a multimedia project - book, audiobook, e-book and animated short film conceived, written and narrated by Diane Arkenstone., with illustrator Anja Silbar, director and sound designer Wesley Price, animator Isaac David Quesada and composer Daniel Cimo.
Having read the e-book, listened to the audiobook (narrated by the author) and watched the short animation (available on vimeo ) and the behind the scenes trailer, I can honestly say this is a delightful story, with colourful images, set to beautiful original music.
I have only one qualm - given that this book is aimed at 3-5 year olds, I cannot fathom the use of the word epiphany! There is no way a child of that age is going to be able to understand this word.

I love the message this book is trying to convey but the sentence structure seems too complex for the kids being read picture books. I enjoyed the illustrations, however the white font on the extremely light background is incredibly hard to make out on some pages. Hopefully this is better in the print version of this book.

Wow!
This book was beautiful.
The artwork was magnificent! I relate to the main character a lot as I too try to see the beauty in life and embrace the animals 💕
I think this book would be important for younger school aged children. To learn that even if bad things are happening in the world, we can make it a better place.

I loved the illustrations in this beautiful book and the message too but unfortunately, not necessarily the delivery. Whimsical pictures for small children but the story is entirely too complex for them to comprehend.

Interesting story. It wasn't what I expected, but I liked the message. I think it would have been more impactful if the illustrations were more realistic and less whimsical. i would recommend this book to add to a school library.

This was a very cute book and I loved the illustrations. I didn’t enjoy the long sentences on each page and felt like they really could have been broken up. I would read this to an older child, but it seems like it’s geared towards younger children, but I’m not sure a 5 year old would understand the entire book. Overall, the story of the book was interesting and beautifully written.

Oh, this was a wonderful little read. And it was just great, be it a child or an adult reading it to their kids. What I loved best about this book was its message—that your life and outlook depends on the things you decide to surround yourself with. On the aspects you chose to focus and delve on. The art style was also very cute, wholesome while keeping it minimum and grounded. The colours only made the soul of it pop and everything was just perfect.
Overall great read and I see it being read to little kids during their bedtimes.
