I feel like every girl growing up has a key historical obsession or two over the years. Typically, it spans from Greek/Roman/Egyptian mythology, the Tudors or the most misunderstood: the Russian Romanovs. This book is an excellent depiction of the Tsar Nicholas II’s illustrious sister Olga. From her time as a young woman in a loveless marriage who chooses to forge her own path, Olga’s story is one of the misalignment of familial duty and following your heart. I throughly enlighten Susan’s take on this overlooked Romanov Grand Duchess.
I received this book as an ARC.
