I work in a mental health library and I will definately be adding this to our collection. Very well written and the spice level is spot on. The author does a great job of building the relationship so it doesn't feel insta-love and as a reader, I appreciate that. The trauma is realistic and as someone that lost a parent to cancer, quickly, this is spot on. Felt really good to read and I do love HEAs. 5 stars.

You know when a book just finds you at the right time. That’s this book for me.

I’m not even the biggest contemporary romance reader but after back to back fantasy and an interesting premise I requested it on netgalley at 2am and thank god I was approved next day. It was exactly what I needed. As someone who is all to used to the mask and I’m fine phrase, this book was a breath of fresh air while talking about all the hardest parts of life. The characters were impossible not to love and yes contemporary romances are predictable but the way this was so well written, it was really was all about the journey and how we got to the end. Living through the grief and panic with Hanna to get through life, it felt like everyday she got up you were proud of her. I am completely obsessed with the authors ability to write human beings and not be tropey. I’ll definitely be checking out more of their stuff!

Thank you netgalley and the publishers for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review, I think I need to preorder a physical copy and keep this on my shelf for hard days to remind myself it can get better.

Started and finished in one day? Yeah I couldn’t put this one down. The way that grief was explained and explored was done perfectly. And the way they helped each other find what they deserved?? Beautiful. This was such a lovely read and I’m so grateful I was able to ARC this one!
