This had that legal thriller element that I was looking for and was hooked from the first page. The characters had that feel that I wanted and was engaged with what was happening with them. Gail Ward Olmsted has a strong writing style and had that element that I wanted. I really enjoyed how good the court concept was and how it was used in the storyline. I hope there is more in this series and from Gail Ward Olmsted.

Class Action was my first book by Gail Ward Olmsted, and it immediately hooked me. This smart, character-driven legal thriller balanced the tension of courtroom drama with deeply human stakes — ethical dilemmas, personal secrets, and moral challenges that felt entirely real.
Lennon Gallagher is a compelling protagonist — determined, intelligent, and relatable — and I loved following her as she navigated both the high-pressure legal world and the personal secrets that emerged around the class action lawsuit. The pacing was strong, the suspense was consistent, and the story kept me guessing without ever feeling forced.
While a few plot points were slightly predictable, the depth of the characters and the emotional stakes more than made up for it. As my first introduction to Olmsted’s writing, I came away impressed and eager to see what she writes next.
Thank you to NetGalley, Black Rose Writing, and Gail Ward Olmsted for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Lennon is juggling a lot during her final year at law school--boyfriend issues, parent issues, study group issues. Unfortunately this book was a lot of 'telling' and it was hard to get a handle on Lennon as a character. As a result, I wasn't very invested in her problems or how she would solve them.
