This book is going to be the weird girl/queer literary book of spring 2026! It has everything -- incredible prose, razor sharp insights, lines that will make you sob and unforgettable characters. I didn't realize how linked all of these stories would be but they are -- it's like Eisenberg wrote Winesburg, Ohio but for disaffected queer people in the northeast. There are things this author wrote that I've never seen before on the page, it really gets to the heart of what it means to be perceived in the modern age. There is so much about technology. It's also very sexy and a lot about erotics and polyamory. This is so much more than a book about fat liberation (though it is that too). It should be read by every person who has a body. It blew me away
