Dedication - "Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof! Whuff!"

I know. Wiser words have never been said in a book dedication.

Followed by book reviews by several unimpressed cats and one very impressed dog.

Some notable quotes. "Friend Who Sells Stuff To Master Out Of The Back Of A Rusted Van." "Would you like to sniff my butt?" "Not even if it would revitalise the U.S. Space Program, you furry little freak." "Dogs are a predatory species."

My favorite part. When Chuck says the word, 'walk,' followed by several pages of dog saying Woof. And then Chuck says it again.

My favorite conversation. "Eternal vigilance is the price of eternal development."

This is a cute, pretty fast book that is a bunch of conversations, each chapter is a different one, between Dog and Chuck. The topics range from Chuck becoming Dog's new best friend, to the finer points of humping legs, to cats, to booty scooting, to Dog protecting the house, to everything in between. It ends with a pome. There is a lot of barking but less than you'd expect from conversations with a dog.

Very much in the style of a coffee table book. Adorable as a gift.

Thank you to Netgalley and Daft Notions for the Arc copy.

This was a fun, quick lighthearted read. I enjoyed seeing the man's indifference to Dog shift as their conversations went on. And of course, I love a story with a happy ending.

Another fun read from this author, who has downgraded to dogs from cats in this offering. The introductory notes are hilarious, all authored by cats, and really set the tone for the rest of the book. The good, the bad and the disgusting of dog life are all explored in these conversations. It’s fun, light hearted and a great distraction.
