Charles is lonely, and has no one to keep him in London for the holidays. Heading to a small island off the coast of Sicily, he stays at a small house with several others. With a murder, an erupting volcano, and lots of secrets it is a good read. A quick and easy read, although a bit more details would have helped. Charles and teenage Candance seemed a bit of an odd relationship, but might just be me. Would recommend.

Anne Perry's Christmas mysteries are always a treat and this one is no difference. I always like reading about some of the side characters from her mystery series and it was interesting to have this one set in a completely different setting than previous Christmas mysteries I've read. The plot is good, as usual.
