"Perilous Journey to Freedom" is a WWII historical fiction book by Marion Kummerow. This book is part of the "Escaping the Reich" series, but it can be read as a stand-alone. This book follows three people - Felix, a man who is a procurer of hard to find items during WWII and a smuggler, Astrid, a Jewish woman escaping from a summons from the Nazis, and Barbel, a former medical student. Long story short - Felix agrees to help Astrid and Barbel cross into Switzerland and there are some close encounters with Nazis, some dangerous weather things, and a pretty decent adventure story. Did I learn anything new from this book - no, not really, but the writing was engaging and the story a pretty good one. I thank the publishers and NetGalley for an eARC of this book.
