When I was presented with the opportunity to read this novel, I was intrigued by the synopsis; a police officer who encounters a stash of money during an accident investigation and takes it, and the consequences that follow. This novel definitely presents the theme, "What would you do," throughout the plot and has ample tension and suspense within it. There were even a couple of times this novel was able to tug at my heart and bring tears to my eyes. The ending was not at all what I was expecting. I have never read this author's work before, and if you haven't either, he is definitely worth checking out!

This book was utterly gripping thriller. Whip-smart and incisive, I couldn’t put this book down. It was dark , devious and totally addictive.

The characters were great, the story itself was very enjoyable and suspenseful! Not the ending I was expecting, but it was the ending I didn’t know I wanted!
