Isabella White is a "new to me" author. I requested this book just based on the category and the cover,

This book sat on my "to be read" shelf for entirely too long. I wish I had started it sooner.

Imperfect Love was emotional and well-written. I love how this book wasn't cliche and was filled with twists and turns.

Jake and Holly were such a sweet and attractive couple. Phew were they steammmmmy!

Can't wait to finish this series now. Just disappointed it took me so long to start it. Such a great read.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for and honest review.

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This has been on my TBR pile for so long, and I'm glad I finally got around to it. I really enjoyed the storyline and seeing the characters change throughout the story was a great character development. The plot was great and kept my attention. I'm glad I got the chance to read this and will be on the lookout for more in the future!

A sinfully enjoyable read. The characters are well written and the storyline was developed. And don't be surprised if you're left fanning yourself while reading it...

Definitely enjoyed this one! Kept me wanting more as the story went on. I’m definitely going to need more from this author.

I did not finish this book. While I appreciate the offer to have the novel., I have stopped reading any romance novels that stray more into erotica.

A nice book. Strong plot, good characterizations and a very emotional ride. Very enjoyable and entertaining.

Upon catching her fiancé with another woman, Holly is devastated. Moving on, she ends up meeting Jake and falling for him is more than she could have ever hoped for. Unfortunately, Jake has a controlling mother who does not want them together. After succeeding in her plan to separate them, they are apart for five years. Then, luckily for the reader, they reunite.

This is a beautiful love story. It is sad and emotional and took me on a heart-breaking journey.

Good day! Before anything else, I would like to extend my deepest, sincerest gratitude for sending me a digital review copy of this book (via NetGalley). Thank you very much for the opportunity!

Unfortunately, I am sad to say that I have lost interest in this particular title, and consequently, I have decided against finishing it. Forcing myself to finish a book I am disinterested in (solely for the sake of finishing it) can only negatively impact the entirety of my reading experience, which, in turn, could result in me writing an unfairly negative review. That is a circumstance I hope to avoid. With that said, I believe that the best course of action is for me to simply not read it and to refrain from publicly posting any feedback regarding this book.

I hope you understand where I'm coming from. Again, thank you for the lovely opportunity!

I was not overly impressed with this book. I was so excited to read it because I love baby drama, but this went a completely different route that I was not cool with. It was so freaking long too that I felt it didn't have to be. It was fairly well written and had a good storyline to it, Holly was a bit on the immature side that had me face palming myself several times. I really fell in love with Jake, but he was from a crazy AF family that i just wanted to get away from! I might still check out book 2, but we'll see!

This book was alright for me. I really love the cover- that is what attracted me first to it. After reading the blurb, I was more intrigued and really wanted to read it. However, it didn't hold my attention the way that I had hoped. I'm not a huge fan of third-person books, mainly because I find it to be more difficult to connect with the characters, and that was the case with Imperfect Love. The author had a good plot, though, which I appreciated.

I will certainly consider reading other books by Isabella White, although I doubt I will finish this series.

This story caught me by surprise in the best possible way. It started of so slow and the BAM! This story completely did a 180 and was pulling every dang emotion out of me! By the end of the book I was a complete mess of tears, and then you throw in the horrible cliffhanger just amplified all my emotions. A hands down must read for the lovers of emotional, raw, make your ugly cry books! Cause this book does just that!

1.5-2 stars. This was hard to read. Perhaps to long for what it was, and I hated the characters. Also cliffhangers aren't nice lol

It really took me a while to get into this book. There was so much detail that it bordered on too much. There was also a lot of stuff happening and going on. But overall Holly and Jake's story was intense and I did like it. Just be prepared for the rollercoaster ride that you are on and for the cliffhanger. Oh and be prepared to not like a couple of the characters.

This book starts out slow and gets slower and more bogged down with each page.

Holly enjoys being a victim. Brandon her fiancé is a habitual cheater who barters for her affection by appealing to her lack of self respect. This prize of a future spouse wants to eat his cake and have it too. The man loves having the taboo relationship with his mistress, and the seemingly unconditional love of his wife-to-be. Pushed too far, Holly finds the latest evidence of Brandon's infidelity is the limit of her benevolence. She decides to do what her best friend Bernie has been urging her to do since the first time Brandon's transgression was revealed. And this is just the first two chapters.

The story isn't helped by the author's writing skill. The weight of Holly's inner monologue is filled with self incriminations. Her constant questioning of her own worth is so frequent that her misery becomes suffocating rather than sympathetic. Within a few chapters the author has succeeded in snubbing out my ability to stay sunk in Holly's misery. All tragedies allow the soul of the suffering to have at least one sorrowful moment to breathe, but Isabella White doesn't allow the reader a moment of respite.

There are also trouble parts like this: "Brandon had written to Donna about how beautiful she was, and the words ‘miss you’ popped up a couple of times. What hurt the most were the emails where he told Donna how he felt trapped in his relationship with Holly." Which reads like a writing exercise from cognitive psychology therapy to identify red flags and negative repetitive actions. That is fantastic to read if this is an blog article of someone’s recovery, but I couldn’t possibly read an entire book of someone analyzing their every mistake.

Not only were there long run-on sentences, and tense switches which gave whiplash. The one thing that sat very wrong with me was an error in literature. She butchered a quote from Suetonius which in Latin is "vulpem pilum mutare, non mores', it translates to "the fox changes it's fur, not character". White's translation is the confusing "A fox may change its fur, but never its color". The point being that color in this case is not an indelible thing, but nature won’t be denied. This might sound like nitpick but like Holly's inability to take one more heartache, I too could not take one more moment spent reading something that I wasn’t enjoying.

Book was a good read. Starts off slow but picks up by the middle. It is emotional and wasn't what I was expecting. It is book one of the series so ends in a cliffhanger. Would I read the next in the series?....possibly, but for me the first slow part would make me think twice as I like to get into a book straight away

Wow. Massive disclaimed DNF, I got to 18% and just couldn't do it anymore.

Seriously the writing is just terrible. It reads like its a self published one with bad grammar and bad sentence structure.
The characters were just childish and seriously BAD!
None of them were remotely likeable.
One minute the main character is babbling on about her relationship with God, then there was some slut shaming thrown in. And heck once she meets the character Jake, she might as well as started twirling her hair in her fingers and fluttering her eyelashes, because that's pretty much what happened anyway.

Once I got to 18% I decided to go look at the other reviews, and for all the good ones I am wondering if I read the same thing? Then I read some of the not so good ones and yeah I am definitely not subjecting myself to more of this.

Great beginning to a story that will break your heart and with Holly has everything she needs to finally be happy.
