This was a bit too rom-com for me. No high stakes danger or passion between the hero and heroine, and the storyline felt bland

Cute romance. The setting is fun, in a remote small mountain town in Colorado (fictional). I liked the chemistry between the two main characters and wondered how the author would resolve the mystery of the old family feud between the Karlssons and the Crenshaws and how that would allow Lindsey and Carden to end up together. Lindsey being a museum curator was an interesting occupation I've never read about in a book before, so that was a fun thing to learn about. I really loved the elderly sisters Merri and Milly and wanted MORE of them in the book! I also would really love them to make me a gift basket of baked goods and treats!! Fun, lighthearted romance.

Content: One strongly described sex scene but no real strong language.

This was a good contemporary romance. I liked the main characters, Lindsey and Carden. Lindsey moves to a small town in Colorado in order to run a small museum. Her great aunt and uncle are the ones who turn her on to the job opening, but they don't want her to acknowledge their relationship once she gets there. Lindsey is expected to find records documenting what really happened in a feud well over a hundred years ago. She is very uncomfortable once she realizes that her family is involved in the feud.

As Lindsey gets to know Carden, she can't resist the feelings that develop, but he is on the other side of the feud. She worries over how to handle the delicate situation and how Carden will react once he knows her secrets.

Great characters, interesting storyline, and a wonderful setting made this a contemporary romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

This was just very sweet...not too much spice and a hint of mystery. Throw in a town with a bit of a wacky side and a whole lotta heart and you have this book, the first in March's new Thistle Bend series.

I enjoyed reading this one a lot, although it was very sweet and then she would throw in the c work (male) and it threw me... Not expecting that. Other than that, I enjoyed everything about this story - how Lindsey and Carden got together and how they fought to make it work when they realized it could be more than flirtation.

Looking forward to reading more about Thistle Bend.
