Compelling Story, Exciting & Intense
This was my type of story. From the start it grabbed my attention pulling me into the story and really peaked my curiosity at what would happen next.

A Romance that Blazed
Tyler and Easton romantic relationship was a slow burn that was oh, so good. Their connection was really strong and sexy and with them both having such sharp wit, it made things super exciting. There was a major battle of wills, power play going on between the two. It was great seeing such strong characters feelings develop and grow into a strong connection.

If I remember correctly, I DNFd this back in 2015. It really wasn't for me. I thought I sent feedback then. So sorry!

Rating: 2.5 stars

Easton. All her life it's been all about her for her parents. She also had a brother and sister, but she was the shining star, the one their family centered around. Tyler. Business mogul and single-absentee father trying to find his connection with his son. I wanted to like this novel, but it fell short for me. The beginning had me intrigued, the middle I lost touch with where the focus was to be aimed, and the end filled in so many pieces at once and then just ended. What felt like a steep enough climax wasn't enough and more and more kept happening. Actions were just accepted and everyone moved on, no reflecting or discussion, just done-no longer an issue. Some of the interactions felt awkward and forced, which left me with an uncomfortable feeling. I love Penelope's writing, that was not the issue for me with Misconduct. It was the plot layout and direction that drew me away from the focus of the novel.
