One year ago the small town of Englewood suffered a major tragedy when a student Sarah Castro-Tanner jumped off the local bridge and supposedly committed suicide. Everyone wrote it off as a tragic accident and decided not to talk about it again. That is until a new student Laura Rivers turns up and the whispers start again as Laura looks similar to Sarah, they could pass as sisters. This story has three sides to it, we have Sasha - who is invested in finding out the truth about what happened to Sarah and as an amazing hacker, she decides to tap into the Englewood High School students' network and set up some alerts in case anyone searches Sarah's name. Things for her have been quiet until now and now with new information rolling in, she has upped her hacker game skills. Laura soon starts to date Charlie, who we discover was involved with Sarah, and he and his friends were with her the night she died. Can Laura find out the truth about what happened that night? This book had an amazing twist to the story, that when it was revealed - it did make sense and brought everything that happened into perspective but was still like WOAH. If you are looking for an edgy YA Thriller then Jessie Rosen's Dead Ringer is the read for you. Fans of Natalie D. Richards and Natasha Preston will love this read.

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This has been on my TBR pile for so long, and I'm glad I finally got around to it. I really enjoyed the storyline and seeing the characters change throughout the story was a great character development. The plot was great and kept my attention. I'm glad I got the chance to read this and will be on the lookout for more in the future!

I did not finish Dead Ringer, and will not be writing a review. I appreciate the opportunity to read a review copy, but it just didn't grab me personally. I will, however, be recommending it to teens looking for a thriller with Pretty Little Liars vibes, because I can see similarities and know many other people who liked it!

I'm sorry but the book did not really work for me. I DNF'ed it. I wasn’t able to connect with any of the many characters in the book and I found myself putting down the book a lot because it was never really catching my attention.

I unfortunately was not able to read this book. I was excited when ever I had chosen to download or pick this book up on Netgalley. However, time moves by so quickly and I never got to read it.

I got this ARC in 2015. It took me nearly 5 years to read it. I can kinda see why.

Girl kills herself. A year later a girl moves to town and looks way too much like the murdered girl so people don't like her. Popular boy falls for her anyway. Drama ensues. Plot twist at the end.

It didn't keep my interest for long. The ending was interesting but not jaw dropping. I saw it coming from the very beginning, I just wanted to see how the author was going to spin it. I just couldn't connect with any of the characters and nothing really seemed too believable but also not to the point where I felt like you should have to stretch your belief to enjoy the book.

I do think this is better suited for people that are just starting out with mystery or YA mystery. It would probably be more dramatic for them, so I'd still recommend it if this what they are looking for.

It was a good book, a gripping thriller, but not for me. The writing was mediocre and I just didn't click with it as I have other thrillers. The plot, though not without its shocking moments that did reignite any interest I had, was bland, as were the characters. That ending, however - the cliffhanger left me wanting to know more.

Have not had the time to read and review. At this point I will not be able to get to it.

Though the plot hinges on a rather far-fetched story line, teens will enjoy this tale of high school revenge.
