Losing the Light is a a unique and stunning novel that mixes friendship, love, and travel. Having never heard of this novel before, I have to admit that I wasn't sure whether I would like it or not. But, after reading it I can say that I am now a fan of the author and will be anxiously awaiting her next release.

Without rehashing the plot, I will tell readers that if you are looking for a book that will simply fill you with satisfaction than this is one that you should pick up. I know that it certainly hit all the points that I want in a novel and left me completely happy in the end. This is especially good for me because as of late i have been reading taut thrillers and romances with extreme angst and the same tropes. So this one was a breath of fresh air for me.

Looking to try out a new author? Then I recommend giving this novel a try. Even if your looking for an escape, this one would be perfect because you will literally feel like you are in France with the characters. The writing style, setting, and narrative are just amazing!
