Brock is an “in charge” kind of man. He works for Slade Security and as a former Seal, it is ingrained in him to protect. When he sees a situation in the bar parking lot, he goes on autopilot. There are two guys against one girl, not good odds. He does not like attachments to anyone, “Brock likes his girls for one night only”.

Keira is ready to leave her life behind. She decides to work for Slade Security after Brock helps her out at the bar. She is a very strong female. Her first solo assignment is an undercover mission to watch and protect Erin, Sheikh Kamal’s fiancé from Jawhara. (It might be a good idea to read the Jawhara series before you read this one.) When she gets there, they have changed the plan on her. Now she has to pretend to be with Brock as his girlfriend instead of Erin’s best friend.

The story is short and kind of predictable. Not sure the title of the book is the right one; it should be Her Stubborn Lover. There is a HEA and no cliffhanger.

Roll on a few months later and Keira is on assignment on her own she thinks, but things change and along comes Brock who she thinks will take over. They have to act the part of being lovers, but what happens when fantasy becomes reality. Can Kiera and Brock fake it for the Jawhara society or will they go one step too far and let themselves go with the flow.

Slade security team book 1 an I just loved it from start to finish an can't wait for more. Another great start to a series by Leslie north. Don't think she can get better but does with each book an series. Totally recommend this author an her books to everyone you won't be disappointed only if you don't try to read her books
