If you love all things Italian, you will devour These Dark Things, the introduction of literary character Captain Natalia Monte. Monte, investigating the death of a foreign student discovers ties to Naples' version of the Mafia. The prose of this new author is a bit choppy in places. However, it will not distract you from enjoying this start of a new series.
