Teenagers on the break into the young adulthood - pubescent pranks, first loves and school suffering.

I So wanted to love this! Nixon times and teenagers at the Catholic school, what is there not to love?
I was expecting real fun with some warmness thrown in. And while some parts are truly funny, some are not - first-plan fun is here, but so often, the wit (which is the core of real fun) is missing. Which is a pity, because the potential is here. For example, the ending is very good, inexpectedly dramatic in the sea of teenage pranks. Maybe this is a way to go - go deeper?
