Caleb told Snow she was a hard woman to find. Snow had been avoiding Caleb for eighteen months. The moment of reckoning had come. Snow evoked every ounce of control she had to remain calm. She had tripped over him at a New Years Eve party nearly two years ago. She asked Caleb what he was doing there . Snow didn’t expect both fear and joy to light through her system when she met Caleb again. The fear was no surprise but the joy was unexpected. Caleb had found Snow on Halloween afternoon and she donned a witch’s costume. The downtown vendors of Ardent Springs held a trick or treat event for area children. Lorelei was Snow’s friend and asked who Caleb was. Snow knew he would eventually seek her out as they had business that needed to be resolved. Since Snow mattered so little to Caleb she assumed there was no rush. Snow assumed Caleb had divorce papers for her to sign. But instead he wanted to know why Snow had left. Snow told Caleb she had a business to run and he would have to come back after she had closed Snow’s Curiosity Shop. Snow had left two months into the marriage. Caleb was determined not to leave this town without his wife. Snow hadn’t been anywhere beyond Alabama and Tennessee in her whole life. Then Caleb her doting boyfriend of two months offered to take her to an all expenses paid weekend at the Bellagio in Vegas. She jumped at the chance to go. Snow knew the nuptials had not been planned when they opened their eyes that morning sprawled naked across a heart shaped bed with ten dollar matching wedding bands on their fingers. Snow missed her family living her at Ardent Springs but not their negativity. Snow’s pretentious in laws made it clear she would never be good enough for their boy. The Mcgraws owns a Media Empire and Caleb was born into a wealthy family and used to getting what he wants. Snow had heard Caleb agree that Snow wasn’t good enough for him. She didn’t know he was trying to protect her. After talking Caleb had a month to prove to Snow he wants their marriage to really work. I really enjoyed this book. I loved Caleb and Snow together. I don’t really understand why Snow stayed in contact with her mother in law when she was as bad as the father in law in my opinion. I really liked we got more background on Caleb and Snow. The was a quick, sweet romantic read. Caleb and Snow had hot chemistry. I loved how loving and loyal Caleb was. I also loved the growth we got to see between Caleb and Snow as well. I advise you to read the first book in this series for a smooth read. I really didn’t like Caleb’s family. I liked the plot a lot as well as the pace. I think Snow would have saved herself a lot of grief is she had let her new husband know what she heard and demand an explanation. I loved how Lorelei was there for Snow. I wish I could have rated this 4.5 I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and i recommend it.

This was an interesting story in that it opens with a wedding in Vegas and when the groom Caleb McGraw starts talking about children, trust funds, and really just making Snow Cameron feel scared once she starts thinking about his family and them not accepting her. He is the heir to a giant media conglomerate, and Snow we can say is nowhere near from that neighborhood. She does what any normal person would do who feels that she was just one of his conquests and whirlwind wedding in Vegas and runs to a small town in Tennessee, and opens a small curiosity shop. It takes two for Caleb to track Snow down and when he does he listens to her fears, and insecurities that have been built up throughout her life for a number of reasons. One is because of her being of mixed raced, and for me that is what makes this story so good. It is her strength that she doesn’t think she has but does that really will make them stronger especially when he starts to see from his mother that her reason for disliking her is because of her mixed raced. The passion that the two of them have for one another is put on hold when she gives him a choice of wanting to make it work. He needs to stay in town for a month but they cannot have during this time though they are still married. This is not just a problem for him, but turns out to be one for her as well. This is a very good book with good characters and the author has the characters make choices that people have to make sometimes with their family. Overall a very good story.
