My Thoughts:
My Dog, My Cat is an adorable children's book. The book teaches children the difference between dogs and cats. They both like different things. Also, there are some things that dogs can do that cats can't, and vice versa. For example, dogs have to use the bathroom outside. Cats can use a litter box.

However, dogs and cats have a huge similarity. Dogs and cats both love their owners unconditionally. Owners should also love both of their pets unconditionally and equally.

My Dog, My Cat is a great book for children that have pets. It is also a must read for animal lovers everywhere.

I give My Dog, My Cat: 4/5.

This sweet book is a study in contrasts and comparisons, between the owner's cat and dog. Pre- and early readers will enjoy the clean lines, simple drawings, and bold colors. Being able to articulate contrasts and comparisons is a great skill for children to develop, and this book helps with that greatly. Using the familiar backdrop of family pets, children can learn the categories and language of comparison/contrast, which will aid them in developing further language and math skills. Plus, it's just a plain charming book.

I gratefully received this book for free from the author, the publishers, and NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.
