Another great novel in the sitting-on-the-edge-of-your-seat-thrilled series!

Abby Hart and Luke are continuing the search in the cold case concerning their relatives being murdered. Is it possible that there is a proof to the one who gave the order to kill? And what about the shocking revelation that Abby´s father might be alive?

And while investigating that, the life is not stopping at the door. And when one of the Abby´s cases turns into an ugly ordeal, she is shaken and so is her faith. Is she really cut out to be a policewoman?
There is also a cold case of kidnapping and rape - and Luke and woody have been invited to try to solve it, as the stazute of limitations is approaching fast.

And can a certain beautiful blogger make to turn Luke´s eyes off the engaged detective?

This novel is a force to be reckoned with. I love the lightning-fast speed! This one is packed with thrill - and ugliness of the evil. And I truly get why Abby gets shaken. But it is exactly the foundation on which we build our lives that can make us to live the life, even with the possibility we can never have the answers to our (sometimes cutting and painful) questions.
I also love Abby´s fieriness, her fire - and the authoress for respecting that. Abby is both strong and just, just the girl I want behind my back when it rains. And Luke and Woody, too.
Also I love the new addition into the love triangle - just when Abby starts to realize that she and her fiance might go their separate ways, Luke starts to fight his heart in giving the chance to date another woman. Fresh and interesting angle!

And I love the justice for Molly, and Molly finding her own footing. My heart goes out for her.

While the original cold case might get too illogical and B-movie-like now, I am still compelled with the series. I love the toughness and the freshness, and the heroes different from the usual trope!
