Clinical psychologist Kim Slade is being stalked. Might it be a mysterious Kyle Stannard who does not take "no" for an answer? Or does she need to look elsewhere?

This is both a thriller and a quite insightful take on the issues and insecurities attached to the looks and scars of the human face and soul - and the self-worth ideas and feelings based on these takes.

I find this book both intriguing and raw (read: needing a ruthless editor). The authoress definitely has the ideas (including quite deep and interesting psychological insights) and the writing skills, yet she can get very tangled in the high pile of details and unnecessary detours, both psychological and plot-wise. Yet she has managed to have my attention until the end! Partly because I was hungry for some activity in the romantic department, I must admit :).

I tried in 2017.
I tried again at the end of 2017.

Left it to pick it up again 2nd January 2018.

I still couldn’t enjoy it as much as I really wanted to.

I’m not sure why this is under Crime/ mystery, it’s not really relating to me like that kind of genre.

I hate giving below 3 stars, but this really didn’t appeal to me personally.

My thanks to Midnight Ink via Net Galley for my copy
