The Ladies' Man & Some Kind of Wonderful by Susan Mallery; Sarah Morgan
Ok, I will admit that I read this for Sarah Morgan's book only. I don't like secret/surprise babies, so Susan Mallery's book wasn't one I planned to read. But I love love Sarah Morgan. However, Some Kind of Wonderful was, well, not wonderful. I didn't like Zach at all. He either didn't understand the pain he caused Brittany or he just didn't care. He seemed to not care about her at all until they had sex. I didn't end up finishing this story. Unfortunately, this was a miss for me. Still love Sarah, though!

Received a copy of this book for review. Overall it is a good read for me. Love the chemistry between the main characters. Love all the characters. What I love is that each of them does make a difference to the story as it developed. Like to read how the characters In the story are interrelated to each other. It make the story more exciting to read. The setting of the story is nice and is fit nicely to the story.Story plot are well penned out, with a slight twist to it in the end.

I have so much love for both of these authors and their books. This book just like all of the other books by these authors didn't disappoint. I loved the main characters and the plot so much. Honestly, this might be one that I re-read soon. I loved it that much!

One of my super favorite authors and love her Puffin Island series. Zachary Lynn and Brittany Forrest are just great together and enjoyed reading this book

Sometimes in the middle of a cold day in winter it's nice to curl up with a book full of warm love and summer heat. Some Kind of Wonderful takes place on a small island off the coast of Maine during the summer as Brittany, a world-traveling archaeologist, returns to the remote cottage she inherited from her grandmother. When Brittany was barely 18 she decided to play on the wild side and hooked up with island bad boy Zach.
Zach first came to Puffin Island as a charity case to spend a few weeks at summer camp with more privileged children. To say he didn't endear himself to the staff and other counselors is putting it mildly. Because Zach had never been shown love, he had no idea how to return it. When Brittany asked Zach to marry her, he did so, but immediately regretted it and 10 days later abandoned her.
Brittany has returned to Puffin Island with a broken wrist and that is a metaphor for all that is broken in her life. She doesn't know what to do next with her job. When she sees Zach again after all these years she realizes her heart has never healed and doesn't know what to do. The first thing she must do, of course, is find out why Zach left. And the first thing Zach must do is tell her. Naturally, their communication on this topic is not good. It's painful and it's too difficult to dig into an open wound.
I love this series and this book in particular. Well worth a winter read of warm days and hot love.
