I have read this author before, but none from this series with these main characters. As a novella and diving sort of in the middle of the series, I was worried that I would be missing some things and I probably did.

With the novella length for a mystery, I would say I didn't love it. Because they have to quickly get to the bottom of the murder and investigation, I felt as though it jumped around and skipped some of the buildup that a reader usually enjoys in a typical length mystery novel.

I would love to read more from this series, but the full length versions.
