From Christmas to Forever? was an impulse read that I decided to pick up one day and devour. I love a good category romance ever so often and Lennox offering was a nod to the old whilst retaining the style we have come to love from this author.
Pollyanna ‘Polly’ is sick of her parents cotton wool treatment. She is twenty nine years old for goodness sakes and a grown woman. She can handle her diabetes fine , she is a ER doctor and she knows the signs. So she has decided to take a locum position in the outback for Christmas to get away from them. She wants them to see her as the fun loving woman who has a zeal for life . Not for the diabetes which has rule their lives for so long.
However she soon has a new problem to deal with. Dashing local Doctor Hugh and his adorable niece Ruby who she supposed to be covering but instead decides to stick around when plans go array thanks to Polly. All because of a rescue job turns into a two person rescue job when she gets herself bitten by snake and makes the town without a fully functioning doctor. Meaning that Hugh has to stay around whether he likes it or not.
Hugh had it all at his finger tips but gave it away to look after his niece Ruby and has never regretted it outwardly. It may not what he wanted in life but he can’t complain. It may be only a small hospital but he loves his job. SO when his replacement throws his plans to chaos he isn’t too please. He doesn’t need daredevil Polly in her life. She did enough trouble trying to help and instead now he is playing Doctor and Polly playing the patient.
However the magic of Christmas is at work. Hugh and Polly may be forced to spend time together but Lennox allows these characters to revaluate and their lives and embraced what they have in this fun Christmas story that is perfect for the holidays.
