Grabs you from the beginning and takes you on an intense ride! There are so many twists and turns in this story that it is hard to put down. Great characters help add to the edge of your seat reading. Be sure to get comfortable so you can read this book in one sitting because it is hard to put down. Good read.

Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced digital copy of this book in exchange for a review.

It took me two starts to get into this book. The beginning just didn't grab me, but I tried again and got past that. Why am I reading about a couple's marital problems with a wreck of a house and trying to get pregnant? This is NOT what I was looking for!! But keep looking, it does get better!!

Will Rhodes has recently taken a job with the travel magazine Travelers, for which his wife has worked for several years. But she quit when he started and took another job. He gets to travel all over the world, stay in luxurious hotels and go to exclusive black-tie events and then write about it for his magazine. Who would quit a job like that? But when he becomes entangled with another writer, he finds there is a dark side to this life.

A LOT of improbable situations, and some laughable coincidences, but a decent read.

This is my first book by this author--it's a winner for spy novel and world travel lovers! Having been to several of the place, I was transported back. The main character, Will, is not perfect. In fact, he was getting on my nerves with his attitude and very-obviously-poor-choice.... BUT I came around. The story is well-written and holds your interest. I will be sure to check out more by this author.

I found this novel to be well written. The Idea of a travel magazine being a front for espionage work is not new to the world of thriller novels but Mr. Pavone manages to add a new twist to the idea. I found it very interesting how the author laid out the recruitment of the main character, Will Rhodes, and his pathway to undercover work. One thing I found it hard to do was to feel sympathetic for the main character, Will, as the story progressed. I found myself not liking him very much and thought he wined too much about his predicament. For me the supplemental characters is what made the story.

This was another fantastic read from Chris Pavone! It was thrilling and shocking. As with The Expats this novel was very character driven. Will Rhodes was extremely likable, even when he was making absolutely terrible decisions. I enjoyed the intrigue it was both familiar and surprising with its twists. Along with Will, you have no idea who to trust.

Definitely a favorite. I will be keeping on eye out for Mr. Pavones next novel!

The Travelers had a clever concept in a travel writer becoming a pseudo-spy. However, this novel seemed to lack in execution. The story had a lot of twists and turns without feeling like it lead anywhere. I lost interest in the characters and plotlines. But the book did have some intriguing moments and was not a bad read. It just was not a favorite for me.

Sorry, I tried a few different times on this one but I just couldn't stay interested. I only made it about 25% of the way in and had to give up.

I'm no longer interested in reading this book at this time. Thank you for the opportunity!

This was a twisty, pulse-pounding thriller with believably flawed characters and a clever plot. One of the best thrillers I've read lately. My only regret: That Alfred Hitchcock isn't still alive to make a movie of it!
