Thank you so much for being willing to grant me access to this book. Unfortunately, life obligations have prevented me from doing so. If my schedule clears, I plan on reviewing this in the future and will post the review on Amazon and Goodreads. Thank you.

Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

What a whirlwind of a book! Victoria and Maxwell were so intent on "working" each other that they missed all the signs that they were perfect for one another. In all honesty, I probably could have done with a little less of them trying to get at one another (it got a little bit tired after a while) but it was great watching them plot. Watching all of the moving pieces bringing them together was great fun too. The cast of characters that Geissinger created was the perfect assortment to bring life to this story. Tabby was the absolute best and you just knew that the sparks were going to fly between her and Conner.

Overall, a fun read with a lot of heart, but also some terrible things that a lot of people have to overcome.

4 Stars

For the past 15 years, Victoria Price has built her brand into a highly successful life coach and motivational speaking business for women. She lives her life by a series of rules and those rules have served her well. That is until she goes to the new restaurant her friend and food blogger/reviewer Darcy wants to do an article about. That's when she see's "him."

Victoria hasn't seen Parker Maxwell since he left Laredo, Texas, leaving her behind and broken. So starts Victoria's plan to get revenge on the boy who destroyed her young heart and changed the course of her life. Using the tech savvy of her brilliant hacker assistant, Tabitha, they search through Parker's background to find a way to ruin him publicly. But the closer she gets to Parker the harder it is for her to see him as a bad guy and the connection is still there.

Parker can understand why he feels this sense of Deja Vu whenever he's around Victoria. That is until the pieces that are her puzzle start to fall into place. Trying to explain a bit of his past, he tells Victoria about his racist father who didn't like his son dating Isabel Diaz. How he used his considerable resources to put Parker and the Diaz family in a position where Parker had to make the choice to leave the love of his life behind.

When Victoria disappears, he has to find Isabel to make everything right again.

I was looking for a good book to read and came across this on my list of NetGalley books I hadn't read yet. I'm so glad I did. I really enjoyed it. I loved that Victoria wasn't a traditional white girl. I loved that her two best friends were Darcy a big Creole woman from Louisiana who loved her body and a Hello Kitty obsessed hacker who dressed like Harley Quinn from the Batman comics.

My only issue and the only reason that I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because of how it ended. I don't want to say anything to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it yet, but... (view spoiler)

Victoria Price is a life coach who has created a huge following and a brand that is raking in money by the truck loads. When one night she goes with her friend and food critique Darcy to try a new restaurant her world is shaken. The man who owns the restaurant changed her life 15 years ago, and the only good thing now is that he does not recognize the girl she once was. He only sees her Victoria. Parker Maxwell is a playboy and has opened dozens of restaurants. Seeing Victoria has stirred something inside of him and he wants to be with her, for some reason she seems familiar but he always just passes off those feelings. Now Victoria sees an opportunity to get back at the person who broke her heart so many years ago. But like every plan of revenge their comes a time when you have to go over the line or not and for Victoria when that day comes she does something that I the reader did not see coming. This story has many secrets, mysteries that are reviled as the story goes along and you the reader are taken through one at a time all the way to her decision of action. That is when I was surprised. I liked the supporting characters especially Tabitha her assistant. Though they all were good. Overall a very good book.
