This book was an enjoyable meander through landscapes, weather, personalities, and even history. I enjoy travelogues because although you sort of know where you're going, you never know exactly what else you learn along the way -- and this book was fun for precisely that reason.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review, which has not altered my opinion of the book.

I really enjoyed this adventure. This was a fun and interesting story from start to finish. Thought provoking, witty, hilarious, and very real, this story reminded me of how different the United States is varying from state to state. It talking about basically everything that makes our continent North America: from polar bears to Texas. Mr Ilgunas discusses religion, dogs, and luck. I couldn’t help but be jealous knowing that being a female, if I had done this journey the response would have been different and I appreciated that he did address that as well.

I highly recommend this book if you have ever wondered what it’s like to walk across the North American continent (well, part of it). It’s not just the good parts, but also the worries that he has and the issues that he ends up running into throughout his journey. 4 out of 5 from me!
