The MacLeod Vampire Hunters are responsible for the death of Marie's husband and son in the early 1700s. When Marie found out about her husbands death, she went in to labor with her son and he did not make it. Marie almost didn't make it either because of how much blood she lost but an old vampire came to her and told her to hang on so she could avenge her husband and son's deaths. The MacLeod Vampire Hunters come back some time later and once again take the people that matter the most to Marie.

Marie goes away for awhile and then comes back to Scotland to try and avenge the deaths that have taken everything from her. She has to get close to the MacLeod descendants though. Will she be able to do this and avenge the deaths of her loved ones?

When old vampires come back to the scene, things get complicated for Marie. What is she going to do now? Marie needs to get close to the youngest MacLeod, Gabe. Marie thinks that her plan after all these years is going to work, but her plans quickly fall through and she finds herself falling for the young Gabe MacLeod.

Can a Vampire Hunter and a Vampire make a relationship work for them? Gabe and Marie fall quickly and hard for each other. You will have to pick this one up to find out how it all ends for Marie. I thought this book had great character development along with lots of steam, love, hate and secrets . This is a great vampire read!
