Why did it take me so long to start this series!

I started with this book because when I went to sign up for NetGalley, I found I had an account already. This book had been requested. I had zero issues following along with the story. Some things may be richer if I had read the prior books. That said, I wasn't lost or unable to enjoy the romance. Carys and Rune were easy characters to love and root for. His self-loathing and her devotion were quiet believable.

Now I'm off to start collecting and reading the earlier books.

Always pulls you in and gives you more to look foward to. This is Rune and Carys story. I love how after so many books in this series it still feels like a different book each time, nothing feels duplicated. I have been reading this series since the beginning so I would love to say it is a stand alone, I can't say that since I don't think you would get the full impact without reading all the others first. I would recommend reading this.

So incredibly good! I received an ARC of this book when it first came out a couple years ago. My life went into complete turmoil so I wasn't able to read it at the time. I've decided this year to catch up on the few ARCs from back then. I'm so glad I did!

I loved the characters and the writing style! I didn't know at the time that it was part of a series, but this was a great introduction into Midnight Breed. I have since gone back and been listening to the audible versions. I'm almost done with book 2 and I'm so obsessed with this series now!
