"Closing her eyes Cynthia breathed in the familiar hazel smell of hazel ."
I was so disappointed in this book. Honestly, the premise was interesting and the characters could have been interesting, but I didn't care very much at all about the main character and I thought that the story would have been much better served if it had followed Rapunzel instead. She was a million times more interesting and had a much better backstory.
That's really all I have to say about the story itself, but the story itself would have been a three star. HowEVER, things like the above quote were in the entire story. The book was formatted in a way that I'm almost certain that it is a draft after edits, but the edits were never taken out and are still just sitting in the middle of random sentences. Which, as you can imagine, is completely impossible to follow and one of the most unprofessional books I've ever read. I looked into other reviews and it sounds like this author's other books are the same way. It's ridiculous and she definitely needs to fix this issue before releasing any more books.

Although this is the 3rd book in a series, this can be read as a stand alone easily, that being said, the plot for me, was a little lax and lacked some details that would have lifted it up.
