It's a western, it's horror, it's a horror western, the 2 great genres that go great together! Sorry, Reese's, you know I had to. And hey it's 2 Lansdales! Cmon. Fantastic plot, characters and action. Not to be missed. Highly recommended.

Joe Lansdale books are hit and miss for me. They are old style pulp horror fiction that sometimes are marvelous and at other time, sub par comic book writing. For me, this one falls much closer to the latter.

I will read anything by Joe Lansdale. Except, apparently, this book. Could not push through. It has a certain rhythm, but my ear is not hearing it, and it has a spirit of meanness not normally found in his books.
