This one kept me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed the mystery and thought Micki and Zach were great characters. I liked the way they ended up working together. The paranormal aspect added some interesting dimension to the story. This was a good start to a series, and I'll be looking forward to more.

This isn't the usual stuff from this author - yes there's a police department featuring Mick and her new, very handsome partner Zach, who has some unusual talents. They are tasked to find some missing girls in New Orleans but this time there is no run of the mill villain but a supernatural one to contend with. I liked the mix of the hard, seen it all before Mick and her softer sidekick, the normal police work combined with darker forces and secrets. It was pacey and gripping - a hit with me! Looking forward to the next book in this series.
